I am new to this game and I don't understand: why did you use ame onna (first match) if you only use it for basic attack? Was that only for making the opponent taking a false pick?
The opponent picked Yumekui, so he picked Ame Onna to counter Yumekui. Since Ame Onna was around, there was no point for Yumekui to inflict Sleep, and since Yumekui did not inflict Sleep, Ame Onna did not use her skill to cleanse.
