I kinda of miss when a location shot was just a painting or a miniature. What they have now with CGI and stuff is cool but you got to admit there is something appealing to that aesthetic.
The CGI is too cold it lacks the organicity and hand touch of puppets, miniatures, practical effects, matte paintings... Just take a look at Avatar... the effort put into that and still looks like a freaking videogame.
