Early 2010’s Caddiccarus looks like a completely different person, but you can see the “what if Aggressively British Looney Tunes but no one animated it” editing style we have today.
Things that HAVEN'T changed from Caddy's first video: •The "greetings and salutations. • Text and pictures wildly flailing across the screen. • Voice modulation for comedic effect (Granted it has gotten much better over the years) • Using the same video clip over and over instead of saying the word again for comedic effect • Odd non-sequiturs that kind of relate to the video but not really but are sort of funny in their own right so it's fine. • Strange noises. J-just really odd noises. Things that HAVE changed from Caddy's first video • THE ACTING THANK FUCK THAT IMPROVED • The comedy and writing has gotten a LOT tighter and better as you continued despite the troupe's you're now known for originating from your first video. • The photo and video editing improved. • Slaughter/Salvage is non existent in your first videos. • Outro doesn't exist, no happy freakin' birthdays. This was mostly for my enjoyment, I love examining where TH-camrs started vs. Where they are now.
Oh man, so much has changed now. Now all his videos are AT LEAST half an hour long. No more 'happy birthday', no more Slaughter or Salvage, even better acting, long hair, absolute insanity at all times.

His uploaded schedule is starting to feel like he's the British Yuriofwind or something, who also rarely uploads, but when he does, it's also hilarious, and after deciding not to watch Caddicarus for whatever reason, I have now decided to re watch his stuff again...like, a week or 2 ago, and it's all just as great as it was before, because Caddicarus is always hilarious, and like a living ytp, and always has been one of the best youtubers ever, and I can't believe even though he looks perpetually 45, he's actually around the same age as me. How does he do it? Has Daddy Caddy discovered the secret of immortality? Or is he just really good at what he does? It's probably that. Watching the first season of Caddicarus is like watching the first season of the Simpsons. You see that there is potential, but it's all incredibly safe.

*Season Opinion:* Yeah... you can tell that this is Caddy's early reviews at times, like he's still finding himself, and what kind of TH-cam reviewer he is (or was - he doesn't do reviews anymore), but I still enjoy the videos, and feel it's a lot better than what I am currently doing. It seems that Caddy may have been trying out ideas to see what stuck, such as the parrot in the "Fade to Black" review (his name is Percy, for those who don't know), or maybe he was always meant to be a minor character, who barely returned, who knows? (Caddy even said he barely remembers that sketch, if I recall correctly.) It's also something that Caddy may or may not have been trying to portray "Rascal Racers" as a kind of arch enemy during these reviews, and it is mentioned a couple or so times, and then leads to the final review of this season - I wonder if Caddy actually thought that this would be the case, and then he found games that he hated/were worthy of more ridicule even more? At the end of the day, I still love these reviews, though the earliness of them definitely shows, at least for the most part. I'm going through my second journey through Caddy's Seasons videos, as (while he may not like them anymore, and I respect that) I absolutely love his reviews, and they are very inspiring to me. I am going to post my overall opinion of each season, once I have rewatched the whole thing. :)
Ah, the nostalgia. I remember back in 2012 when I would just sit and rewatch these videos over and over in my downtime cause I generally just found them entertaining, even with the constant watching. It great to see all of these in one long video 😄
Everybody cringes at themselves early on, especially if they've improved in any capacity. I'm the same way with my guitar playing that I thought was great years ago compared to now.
Even if viewers/listeners don't mind someone's past content, when they look back at it with the improvements they made along the way they can't help but feel a little embarrassed. Mostly an artist or creative pride.
You grew so much, even in just Season 1! I love rewatching these, it's been a while but whenever the mood strikes me, a good Caddy video is always a great watch~
You know, I think he's a little to harsh on his older videos. Their honestly not that bad, especially when he was just starting to develop his persona and humor. I mean to be fair I've seen way cringey stuff then this.
Of course he's gonna be harsh on himself, any creator is their own worst critics when it comes to looking at their older works. Personally, I get a second hand embarrassment from seeing how his old editing was like, because it's very similar to how my older videos were and I understand why he can't stand looking at videos like these and on his original channel.
rascal racers was only 8 years old at the time the first caddicarus episode was produced. now 8 years ago was 2015, when the caddicarus show was already 3 years old. hooray for the passage of time! 🎉

What an evolution this channel’s gone though eh...
*Season Opinion:* Yeah... you can tell that this is Caddy's early reviews at times, like he's still finding himself, and what kind of TH-cam reviewer he is (or was - he doesn't do reviews anymore), but I still enjoy the videos, and feel it's a lot better than what I am currently doing. It seems that Caddy may have been trying out ideas to see what stuck, such as the parrot in the "Fade to Black" review (his name is Percy, for those who don't know), or maybe he was always meant to be a minor character, who barely returned, who knows? (Caddy even said he barely remembers that sketch, if I recall correctly.) It's also something that Caddy may or may not have been trying to portray "Rascal Racers" as a kind of arch enemy during these reviews, and it is mentioned a couple or so times, and then leads to the final review of this season - I wonder if Caddy actually thought that this would be the case, and then he found games that he hated/were worthy of more ridicule even more? At the end of the day, I still love these reviews, though the earliness of them definitely shows, at least for the most part.
I'm going through my second journey through Caddy's Seasons videos, as (while he may not like them anymore, and I respect that) I absolutely love his reviews, and they are very inspiring to me. I am going to post my overall opinion of each season, once I have rewatched the whole thing. :)

Ah, the nostalgia. I remember back in 2012 when I would just sit and rewatch these videos over and over in my downtime cause I generally just found them entertaining, even with the constant watching. It great to see all of these in one long video 😄

Everybody cringes at themselves early on, especially if they've improved in any capacity. I'm the same way with my guitar playing that I thought was great years ago compared to now.

Even if viewers/listeners don't mind someone's past content, when they look back at it with the improvements they made along the way they can't help but feel a little embarrassed. Mostly an artist or creative pride.
The amazing thing is the jump in quality from this one season alone. Episode 1 is ok but the last one is such a huge jump. Kudos to Caddi.

You know, I think he's a little to harsh on his older videos. Their honestly not that bad, especially when he was just starting to develop his persona and humor. I mean to be fair I've seen way cringey stuff then this.
Of course he's gonna be harsh on himself, any creator is their own worst critics when it comes to looking at their older works.
Personally, I get a second hand embarrassment from seeing how his old editing was like, because it's very similar to how my older videos were and I understand why he can't stand looking at videos like these and on his original channel.
rascal racers was only 8 years old at the time the first caddicarus episode was produced. now 8 years ago was 2015, when the caddicarus show was already 3 years old. hooray for the passage of time! 🎉
