LMG is going to acquire Floatplane and lease office space to them; but for them to be acquired they would first need to start as a company and floatplane needs a CEO or whatever.
Yeah, i mean, i enjoy LTT videos and stuff, but i'm not so mad for them (or any other Tech content video) that i'd PAY to see it a week early on something that isn't called TH-cam.
Price seems a bit high ($3 per channel is insane, should be 1$ with ads or $3 without any ads), but it will be higher quality content (higher bitrate) bypassing youtubes bogus compression. Perharp support for HDR, high refresh rate (for reviewing monitors), less filters/content rules. Someone asked on WAN show "cam girls???" and they answered "no comment" ie not yes but also not a no.
Brian, but if they are going to acquire Floatplane, wouldn't that still mean Luke is an LMG employee? And why couldn't they just make it another part of LMG from the get-go, instead of him leaving, getting a company set up (though with Linus still owning it) and then essentially coming back? Totally agree; this WAN show is really soft; wish Linus realized that TH-cam and twitch can't go 150 like VLC and it's easier for people to turn down rather than up audio.
Get better amp. I don't like to get downgraded audio just because some people can't amp up the audio enough. I'm usually like quater from the max with my PC and pretty much the same with crappy Chinese bluetooth earbuds... You should be able to amp up enough or your hardware is just (I'm sorry to say this) bad.

What you need to do is start Linus Media Holdings, and then make both floatplane, and lmg subsideraries of lmh, so that everyone is a employee of lmh and some work on lmg and others on fp.
Pretty sure there's some liability reasons to roll it off as it's own entity. So for example if floatplane goes bankrupt with a ton of debt it doesn't send the whole LMG broke as well.
I use studio monitors as computer speakers. I've got the monitors set for about 40% volume and have the Windows volume set for 30. This is perfect for just about every TH-cam video. For this video, I have Windows volume turned up to 100 to just about be able to hear normally.

The reason the description is so broad is to be able to identify a wider range of cases that can lead to gaming disorder. Just because you exhibit a few or even many of the symptoms, does not mean you are going to be diagnosed with the disorder, just like with many other disorders and illnesses. Will this lead to false diagnoses? Probably, but we shouldn't forsake the small percentage of the population who do suffer from this disorder either. Making this an official disorder allows people, who suffer from this disorder, to more easily get professional help specifically for gaming. This is not to catch people who just play for fun and maybe skip out on homework or a dinner with friends. Think of extreme cases where there are some people who game all day, everyday not eating, sleeping or moving.

The "copyright" exemption you're talking about is actually trademark law. If you use a brand's trademark long enough, it can become public domain or go to another owner that can protect it. The only reason companies do trademark is so they can hold on to ownership of more broad subjects like characters and titles.

I have to say, food promoted by techy guys generally ends up being utter garbage but I tried SavageJerky about a month ago, based off your recommendation, and I am glad I did. You can really tell the difference between run-of-the-mill stuff from the grocery/convenience store and this stuff. I bought one of every one of their products and can attest, their higher end spicy stuff is VERY spicy. The maple habanero bacon is AMAZING, the salt and pepper is great and the ghost pepper one is very tasty. Great find, guys!

Where we live internet wasn't available in all areas and we had a friend that could of diagnosed with gamer disorder. He was so addicted to playing Halo 2 that he just quit his job and kept breaking into a friends houses to play it online. This guy would play 24 hours plus until he crashed. So there are some extreme cases that need this help.
Why is this WAN show so damn silent this week? I had to crank my volume up to 56 (normal is like 10-20) and when I switched to another LTT video, my ears flew off immediately

A DMCA workaround they could have used was making a master server and hosting it themselves and requiring API access by server owners to add their server to the list. Or they could have released the server files themselves publicly with a license agreement that allows modification of files without redistribution. Either one could have allowed them to stake their claim and be open to the community.

Something you should mention about Madrinas is they roast their beans the same day they ship them to you which is highly important for coffee flavor.

The "copyright" exemption you're talking about is actually trademark law. If you use a brand's trademark long enough, it can become public domain or go to another owner that can protect it. The only reason companies do trademark is so they can hold on to ownership of more broad subjects like characters and titles.

I have to say, food promoted by techy guys generally ends up being utter garbage but I tried SavageJerky about a month ago, based off your recommendation, and I am glad I did. You can really tell the difference between run-of-the-mill stuff from the grocery/convenience store and this stuff. I bought one of every one of their products and can attest, their higher end spicy stuff is VERY spicy. The maple habanero bacon is AMAZING, the salt and pepper is great and the ghost pepper one is very tasty. Great find, guys!

A DMCA workaround they could have used was making a master server and hosting it themselves and requiring API access by server owners to add their server to the list. Or they could have released the server files themselves publicly with a license agreement that allows modification of files without redistribution.
