I was taken a back a little when you encouraged your audience to get out their pitchforks. Now that it's been a while since this video, I was wondering if you look back and regret it. Some youtubers have gone down the path of trying to use their platform to go after other people's sponsors and income (cancel culture). You look like the most genuine guy on TH-cam and has every right to be very annoyed at this couple but again was just curious.. That to me seems like a red flag - like the thought of giving him up was always on her mind and she had to say the opposite to try and convince people. I don’t have kids but I don’t think most parents feel a need to constantly bring up that they will never give up their kids.

As much as I want justice for H I also want him to thrive and I'm worried that Myka took that opportunity away from him by not paying the $500 for the therapy he needs. I'm autistic and when I was Hs age I was pretty much where he was, the doctors actually labeled me as "failure to thrive" but my mom did whatever it took to get me thriving. As a kid I was in so many therapies and it payed off. I'm studying law and I live independently in a different town from my mom. I REALLY hope that Myka didn't ruin Huxleys chances at thriving by not taking him to those therapies.

He is still young and can still benefit from help/therapies he can get in his new home. I'm an early childhood special educator and from what I saw of H. he seemed responsive to directions, able to use some sign and words, affectionate with his siblings/other kids, with many smiles... All very nice things to see. There is much hope for him.

There's a certain vocabulary you don't use with kids. And I can't imagine what this kid would've thought if years later, with all his issues, would've seen that video, with his mother saying all that stuff. Basically, saying "I won't give up on you" comes with the implication "...but we could, we won't but we could" Which is kinda fucked up, and I'm just glad they don't have him anymore. I'm really worried for the rest of their kids.

I’m so glad people are angry about this. I was worried that they were the start of a trend to adopt and re-home children like shelter pets. Men were doing this years ago with mail order brides, they had to pass laws limiting how many women men can bring over and return.

But one thing really bothers me - would a doctor, psychiatrist, psychologist or occupational therapist say “He just isn’t a good fit for your family” if it was a biological child? If no, then it shouldn’t have mattered because they ADOPTED this child as their own! You don’t give children away like you would a pet that had behavioral or aggressive issues! Yikes! @Hope Addis, I don’t know for certain what the professionals she consulted with said, however my son has high level autism and, judging by his team, it seems unlikely that any of them would say such a thing once he was adopted. Myka, however, mentions in one of her earlier videos (though I only know excerpts from this channel, not hers) that prior to adopting H, a doctor had some reservations. I know narcissists can certainly lie to suit their narrative, so I’m hoping that she’s just changed the timeline to suit her “rewriting of history.”
"Hugs and kisses even when you don't want them" is an absolutely horrifying thing to "promise" a child, especially a child with autism. Children deserve boundaries, children deserve to have the right to consent to be touched in ANY way, and for a child with autism to be touched against their consent feels like a physical assault. If she'd done any research or listened to any therapist, she would know that. This video was 45 seconds of her saying how great H is and the rest of it was her talking about how great she is as a mom and how perfect her biological children are in comparison to H. Disgusting. I feel terrible for the kids still stuck in this house.
No kidding. I thought I was hearing things at first. None my kids like hugs and it kills me, BUT I don't hug them if they don't want it.
That line made me absolutely cringe too. When I was little my dad used to pick me up and kiss my cheeks over and over very roughly with his stubble, to the point it actually sort of hurt. He thought it was hilarious when I howled for him to let me go/stop. But I swear it's partly why I have some physical intimacy issues today (I'm fine with women being cuddly with me from the get-go, but it takes me a good long while to not resent physical touch from men, even if it's just a hug or pat on the back). I didn't even have autism. I can't imagine how much worse that would be if I did have a sensory condition.
But ironically (or not so ironically), I actually now work with special needs kids for a living. Something I make a huge point to teach them all is the importance of consent - teaching them how to say no to any physical touch they don't want. Even when it's a touch they want, like a hug or squish, I always remind them to tell me "no more" or "all done" when they no longer want it. I'm really glad that modern parents and people who work with children are recognizing how important this is.
Right. Kids are people too. You don't force physical affection on other people.

I mean I wouldn't do that either, nevertheless, many people name their kids after themselves, especially boys (e.g. with Senior / Junior) so it's not that uncommon

Mika had this thing about the names and having a nickname before choosing the name of the kids. That was a big thing when she was choosing the name of the new baby.

She's lying about him having severe autism and it makes me angry that her fans let her get away with perpetuating this. I'm also willing to bet the "7 hours of therapy" she told the police he was in was just him going to preschool...
She doesn’t actually describe specific symptoms of severe autism other than being nonverbal because he didn’t speak English and having meltdowns (which literally all toddlers do)
Totally agree with you. In their video “our son was diagnosed with autism level 3”, they said H did an IQ test and his IQ was below the average. However, IQ tests are not considered valid on a child less than 5 years old. The term “global developmental delay” is applied to children less than 5 years of age. A child with developmental delay does not necessarily become mentally retarded. So a diagnosis of mental retardation requiring accurate IQ assessment is not considered for young children. No psychologist would do an IQ test for H because he was only 3 years old at that time. They lied about H’s diagnoses (video link below).

10:38 I fail to see how kissing and hugging a child when you know THEY DON'T WANT IT counts as "showing love". Love is placing someone else's happiness over your own, not demanding that your new adoptee be a 24/7 cuddle toy for your gratification.
I hate to tell you this, but the Stauffers are hardly unique. The Evangelical Adoption Crusade has been going on for nigh 20 years now, and quietly rehoming kids who were adopted with great fanfare is sadly very common. We don't know how common, because there's little government oversight of internationally-adopted children, but some researchers believe that as much as 20-25% of these adoptions fail. Google the Reuters' article 'The Child Exchange' for the sordid truth.
As someone who's been following adoption issues for a while now, I'm actually heartened by the degree of outrage the Stauffer case has incurred. For a long time, any criticism of parents who get rid of their "forever children" has been met with a phalanx of "pro-adoption" defenders who scold you for being judgmental about a situation you don't have firsthand knowledge of. I don't know if a societal tipping point has been reached or if the fact the Stauffers are fake evangelicals means they don't have the rabid supporters most Rescue Adopters have, but it is nice that some karmic justice is occurring.
That's insane. There needs to be more light shed on this entire operation.

Some women may have gotten raped and don’t want to raise a child they didn’t plan on having or related to the rapist. There are many other reasons to put child up for adoption. I’m sure that any mother though would want the best for their child, even if they weren’t able to give that to them.

That debris definitely came off that truck, and usually there is no proof for these kind of damages. I would absolutely be mad at my insurance company.
My take is Myka had "narcissistic injury" when H didn't accept her in the beginning. She never forgave him and never got over it. In turn, he was excluded from the family and ultimately rejected completely. Tessla/Truck: IMO, that was a piece of a pipe of some kind that fell off that truck.
This has to go beyond narcissism and straight into sociopath. She knows how to fake real human emotions but can’t quite pull it off. She both sickens me as a mom of two amazing autistic kids and frightens me that she keeps popping out kids that may turn out just like them. I pray to every deity that has ever existed that they take their parents as examples of what not to do rather than to copy. Geez that couple give me the heebies. 💔

I'm a Mum to a nine year old with autism, sensory processing disorder and coordination difficulties. This breaks my heart. We're currently in the process of adopting too, and our adopted child will be treated exactly the same as our other children. She's a horrendous person, and he is an absolute wimp.

I just discovered your channel. Subscribed so quick! YES! I want to join you in taking these wolves in sheep's clothing down from their "platform" that they never should have had in the first place! I mean, really, who actually sees this woman as genuine?! Its clear as day, she is shallow and self serving. Fakest person I've ever seen.

How is that even possible? Every second of her life, including her children's lives, is constantly documented! The only mystery in that family is their "off-the-record" toilet habits, and shady schemes they'd think up to con their viewers, of their ultimately boring channel from hell, of money they do not deserve. When Myka slaps on the baby voice, starts talking like the "chick" at mall strutting for attention, and "crys" behind glasses (because she just can NOT muster up a tear), it really looks like a bad, "Saturday Night Live" skit... Just TOTALLY Over the top-ridiculous, and SO "flippin" fake, especially when she "Like..talks, like, about, like, the kiddos," kiddo doctors, and my personal favorite, Hux ="LIQUID GOLD." Just like she spoke of the brands she would advertise being "liquid gold." This woman is sick, and I mean that without picking on her...she is NOT a good person...and she should not be around children. Of course she wanted a termanilly I'll child.

Not only did these monsters use that sweet little boy, then returned him, like a prom dress where tags were tucked away...which is exactly what I can see Myka doing...But who would ONLY want a terminally ill child... You're either incredibly kind or incredibly evil.
So, instead of feeling pure joy with his new diagnosis, she was pissed! So, question answered, what type SHE is.... I have a cousin, born blind, deaf, and mentally disabled. She was expected to live 6months. She is about to turn 30! She is LOVED! Her 2 older brothers have protected her reputation. Both the are over 6' 7"..one with a black belt, and almost a football star with in the NFL. A heart defect stopped that dream. The other a lawyer, after serving his country, AFTER college...highly ranked to start, and kept going, fighting in the most dangerous war zones. The entire family loves her. All believing God is on our side. She was ALWAYS a gift, her room covered in angel figurines. So, Myka, ahhhhh!! She is horrible. Sorry, so long. She broke so many hearts being so shallow and fake.
@@diamonds5457 who can say they lived decades without sin? She is a gift from God. Her diagnosis was a kick in the teeth, but her LIFE? No, that's a miracle and a testament to God's love. They didnt want to lose her...in ANY condition. I have more respect for my Aunt and Uncle than anyone. I don't think they even got a babysitter once. She is precious. Beautiful. The closest 30 year old to God I'd ever know. So, that little boy..I don't even want to say Huxley...that's not him..he is precious, not just cute. They just shoved off one of God's biggest gifts and MOST loved of his children. What the internet is doing to those people...hm...just wait til she explains it to God.

I always kinda assumed that adoption agencies still make sure to protect the kids privacy after it has been adopted. Im shocked that no one of them spoke up at least when they taped his hands together and made ‘mistakes’ , that can’t be called mistakes because they are too bad and if you don’t know that these kind of things are not good for a kids development you shouldn’t be allowed to have kids. which loving parents would tape their kids thumbs? Or punish them for wanting food? I’m also shocked that the agency was fine with them putting a camera in his face from the beginning, that’s in general not right, even if you don’t want to publish it. That’s not how you welcome and get to know a child!
