Renowned Urdu poet Waseem Barelvi worked as an Associate Professor and Head of Urdu Dept. at Bareilly College. He also held the position of Vice Chairman of the National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language. A recipient of several national and international awards including the Firaq International Award, his outstanding work has been published in literary magazines worldwide. His ghazals have been sung by celebrated singers from the Indian film industry.
