I sincerely appreciate your assistance. However, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide the necessary information either here or via email. Let me give you a brief overview of my situation. I have recently completed my 12th grade with a focus on PCM (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics). Considering this, I don't believe that pursuing software engineering through a B.Tech program is a feasible option for me. Consequently, I have been contemplating pursuing a BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Information Technology, or even exploring the possibility of a BSc in Software Engineering (although I am unsure if such a program truly exists).
If BCA students earn more than BSc students, it would feel like I wasted my time studying PCM in 11th and 12th grade. Please understand that I don't consider any stream as inferior; I just hope you can comprehend my perspective. Science students have the opportunity to pursue engineering and medical fields, while commerce and arts students don't have the same privilege. Similarly, it seems that only science students can opt for BSc courses, so they should be valued and rewarded more, right? (Of course, skills matter, but that's a secondary point.)
People around me are suggesting that I pursue BCA, but if I had wanted to do that, I wouldn't have chosen science in the first place. Sir/Madam, I don't have any older siblings or mentors who can guide me, and I'm genuinely confused about which path to take to become a well-paid software engineer with ample opportunities. Among the options of BCA, BSc in Computer Science, BSc in Information Technology, and BSc in Software Engineering, please advise me on the best choice. I also need to apply for college admissions, and the seats are filling up rapidly here in Ahmedabad. Hence, I kindly request you to respond here.
