Something I noticed about this upgrade - the previous kernel version isn't supported at all despite still being installed. I can boot into it but no modules (such as Nvidia) work. There's also a number of packages that are built for 15.5 only which is unfortunate. Overall, the upgrade was fine but post-upgrade support has been less than stellar.

After about roughly month on openSUSE 15.6 would you say it is worth it? Have all the issues been worked out? Or would it be better to use tumbleweed snapshots when using newish hardware instead? Asking as I think I might distro-hop to finally try SUSE but I am still on the fence, I would be jumping from Gentoo to SUSE because I want something that is a bit more slower for its releases of updates, however I feel as though using older drivers for Nvidia might not be the best option for my setup / it might be counterintuitive to use older drivers that predate the current open drivers that Nvidia has started to push out for better Linux support overall. Would love to hear some outtakes on it!

Yep I still like it plenty. I'll do a follow up video about it but if you like a stable distro that is "off the beaten path", openSUSE Leap is a great choice.

@@Egeexyz after using openSUSE for almost 5 days I must say it's got me hooked, I was pleasantly surprised by the fact that it just worked right out of the box with no need for any crazy tinkering aside from Nvidia drivers or fixing up a kernel issue for Intel HD audio drivers. Overall I must say that this distro is quite comfy and that plasma 5 is definitely a solid DE, I especially like the flatpak support right off the bat which made it easy to add repos and just pull what I need. To conclude, coming from Gentoo it's a nice offset from the constant emerging and sitting through upgrades while still being able to have that tinkering itch scratched whenever I decide that I wish to edit something.

Is opensuse leap default filesystem ext4 or btrfs? Thank you.
I'm a debian user, I have been thinking to try opensuse leap for personal enrichment

      I believe it's btrfs
