  • Join Cat as she speaks with her good friend Helen Bloom. Helen and her parents fled communist Russia when she was only 9 years old and came to the U.S. to embrace the American Dream. As a cultural Jewish woman with an Ivy League education, Helen rested in intellectual satisfaction that she was an atheist. Even, after the death of her father, as she eventually accepted that God just might exist, she firmly eschewed the notion of Christ and bristled at any mention of Biblical Scripture from her Christian friends. But God wasn't done with Helen. Through timely relationships and the testimonies of other stalwart atheists, Helen overcame her self-satisfied intellectualism to master her most important lesson: Christ is our Savior and He desires a relationship with us.
Helen mentions apologists: Sean McDowell, Josh McDowell and Ravi Zacharias. She also mentions Pastor Patrick Gary Donahue.
