Nice video. Brought back memories. Farmington Avenue has not changed much...saw Burger King...still there. Wish there was Still a downtown with a music store and shops with huge display widows and a bank and Woolworth and the train bridge that went over the street...that I remember when I was small. Went to the old South Side school for kindergarten. Room was very big and the large windows were open to let in a cool breeze when it was hot and humid. There were cubby holes to store our papers, crayons and hat/scarf. And, around the corner was an ice cream store...perhaps, it was Friendlys...and I would get a vanilla old-fashioned cone. And, down the street, was the A & P where my parents bought groceries. Of note, I attended BEHS...’74 graduated...learned a lot, but was shy...liked my teachers too. And so...
I have some fine memories...and am grateful for having had the opportunity to live in this quaint town before going to college, traveling around and just living life. The Yankee values that were installed in me, served me well!

Katie, Thank you for watching. glad I could bring back some of those old memories and thank you for sharing with us. That kindergarten room reminds me of a lot of class rooms I was in when I was growing up. Thank you again. Have a great day

I remember Woolworth, Caldor, Bradlees, Lorraine Shoes on Main St, JonMarie on Riverside Ave, the mall where Sage Allen and Sears was.....I have seen photos of Main St dating to the 1930's when the road was lined with multi-storey buildings and all kinds of stores, Cameo movie house which was the largest in Bristol at the time, did some research recently on old movie houses in the city, one which apparently fell through the cracks was Empire Theatre (not listed at Cinema Tour nor Cinema Treasures) on North Main St which closed in 1919.

neat how you went from Wolcott st and magically appear on 72 in Forestville, but I like a few others have been away for several years, I had so many stomping grounds and you traveled almost all of them.

My friend used to live in Windsor Locks and gonna take a road trip to see her new apartment in Bristol. Thanks for this. I live in Clifton which has a urban feel yet when you drive around its a big suburbs. This looks like a rural place yet its a big town.

I see positive reviews on the comments below.
I did my research. It appears the cost of living and the environment seems more cleaner and peaceful than Westfield Massachusetts. I had thoughts that I might move to Bristol one day as long as that place remains as it is.
