Wow... I was rooting for Silva all the way... What a hart breaking turn of the events at the end.. Stay cool Silva, big wins are ahead of you!!! Congrats to Kristin
Silva might soon be in the same situation as Tattar with Paige some years ago. Just needs to keep doing the necessary mental push and she will climb on top and stay there
I said the exact same thing in relation to that tournament when Keisten blew the win and was in tears. My heart broke for Silva but she has so much talent and if she let's these obstacles mold her, she will have a future much like Kristen's soon enough. Great win the though for KT
Easily one of the best rounds of the year for FPO. Exciting great play and a lot of beautiful scenery. Congratulations to Kristin obviously an incredible comeback, and chin up Silva, one putt away from one of the best wins in years from any player is nothing to be sad about. The top of the FPO field is difficult to take down when people are playing well. You love to see a competitive field. Heartbreaking no doubt to get the terrible roll away in the playoff but gotta be proud of the round as a whole.
Thrill of victory & The agony of defeat. Same course for all players, Silva came up a little short on 2nd shot. Better player won. I've watched Silva dominate tournaments for years, like nearly doubling the rest of the field's scores. She'll be back. Don't know how these players do it. I've only played minor (Golf) tournies & felt like Chevy Chase freezing up on the 1st tee & greens. Consummate pros. Congratulations Kristin, slow but steady made the difference. Ohn's putting clinic, wow
I support Kristin every time I watch discgolf, but this time I wanted Silva to win. Unfortunately nervs and unlucky rollaway cost so much. Silva, you are young and everything is still ahead, hope this would make you even stronger.
I watched all four rounds, & what an amazing tournament. Missy playing lights out day 3 to put herself in position. Ohn & Silva, showing off the two best putts in the game. (I'd like to see a putt-off with those two.) Kristen, with an absolute champion's portion of resilience. And with as dramatic (& somewhat sad) of an ending as you could hope for as a spectator, with the only consolation being knowing that Silva has such a bright future ahead of her & really has already proven a great deal about what level of play she's capable of. I remember the first few times I saw Silva throw. The Geese were talking about how much she had been slaying, &...I had a hard time seeing it judging off of her driving form. Unlike Holyn's, for example, it seemed less athletic & more 'twirly', & ballerina-ish. But her flights are so straight, flat & glidy...that last drive of the playoff (& both of Kristen's on that hole) was just gorgeous. And her putt is deadly. Her getting her first big win over here seems a lot less like an "if" & much more like a "when".
Kristin's mental game is top tier, she had some bad stretches yet kept plugging away. Silva played amazingly well with the final round Jomez coverage and Tattar breathing down her neck (plus being on a card with the best FPO players). A couple more big rounds under her belt and she will be a force to reckon with.
WOW... just wow. A very well played back 9 by Kristin. I will give her that. She definitely showed up for the back 9. Silva is already one of the very best and she is only going to get better.
The day will soon come when Silva is the dominant player on tour. Her game is so clean. This is one of those losses that "needed to happen", I feel. Kristin is still the best, but she will pass the torch in due time.
Silva is quickly becoming one of the most dominant forces in FPO and we all know she still has a lot more in her. This one will sting but it will only make her stronger in the long run. Congrats to Kristin! Being able to pull off wins like this to some of the strongest competitors in the field while playing your B-game for most of the round is the sign of a true warrior.
Spoilers I love KT but Silva has become my new favorite player. But what a Ricky Wysockian comeback from Kristin. Just absolutely dialed in. I hate that Silva lost basically by chaining out on 18 (pre playoff) and especially by missing the gimme on 16. But I wish she had a caddy with her to help with the nerves and heartbreak too. Rakastamme sinua Silva!
I made the mistake of watching the DGPT recap last night and cried all night. I almost did not want to watch today's round, but wanted to respect Silva's performance by being here.
@@iAmAzwell didn’t seem too far right to me, especially given the paper 📝 dimensions you get, and that just a part of your plant foot needs to be touching that paper
What a battle! I thoroughly enjoyed watching this final round. Great play ladies. Silva, that was a tough one. I thought you had it sealed. Losing momentum is tough. All that aside, marry me? My wife won’t mind. Kristin, amazing mental fortitude and win. Great golf!
Would have loved to have seen Kristin give a little more attention to Silva after the round. She was visibly upset and a little empathy would have been nice. Ohn gets it.
Maybe its time for the Geese to put on the commentators hat and abandon the player one when it comes to how they talk about the holes. They whine so much and very often they are just way off when you look how the top of the field actually plays it. On 13 they didnt commentate on Kristins shot at all when it was a slim limb off being perfect, Silva puts it in the circle in the wind. It is just way too much at this point, the field is getting better, the courses should get harder to match that instead of catering to mid-/low level part of the field.
With great respect for the Geese - I think they could have done a much MUCH better job at building up the drama towards the end of this round. They don't sound like sports commentators, they sound like biased observers who are acting apethetic since they already know the results
Spoilers whatever. What a heartbreaker. Embarrassing for the sport to have that rollaway decide the playoff. OB lines are the dumbest part of disc golf and it's not even close. Literally nothing about them makes the game better.
Gotta agree. Obviously, there are legitimate cases for OB if it crosses property lines or protects a spectator area, but having a little ring of OB inside of barriers on the green like this is so blatantly arbitrary and just adds insult to injury. Watching the mens coverage, we saw Paul freaking McBeth go OB on a pitch out and Jeremy speculated that Paul didn't even know the OB was there, because why would it be? The rollaway was punishment enough. Don't need it to turn into a 2 stroke swing.
I don’t really get this line of thinking. If there wasn’t the OB wall then Silva probably would’ve been like 45 feet to save a par. On a green like that it is paramount to not hit side cage, not a surprise to see a rollaway if you do.
@@Awog So what you're saying is that there is an inherent penalty to missing a putt on a sloped green that would still require an impressive rebound to save par?
Man, I hate when they do that shit lay up for the wind you’re gonna win anyways you might as well put it in for Bertie lame way to win men or women they both do it
32:27 c’mon the foot fault thing is ridiculous when it literally gives no benefit to the player. I understand putting foot faults but accidently stepping on your disc typically hurts more than helps anyway

Yeah Silva is young and she has an incredible future in the game.

100%. She's so talented... and she makes it look easy (but I know it's not).
Silva has already won five in a row in Europe and last year she won five with three in a row. She's ready to be on top here too.
@@arr64lima63Kristin beat Paige like she is no body, unless Silva can do that to Kristin , she is not on top yet.

Amazing game by Silva ❤
Nothing like a good FPO battle.
When the commentary is as great as the golf 🔥HONK!! Thanks for the reminder to breathe, this was intense!
I feel so bad for Silva. I really wanted her to win! Didn't like the rule to play hole 18 again for the win...

All hail the Queen 👸!

Unbelievable finish. Never count out one of the best to play the game.

It didn't seem like Kristin's head was in it on the front 9 and even some on the back and yet she persevered . The pressure got to Silva I think.

It was already over she doesn't need to.
She could've gotten a 12 on that hole and still won 2nd place. Her position was secured, regardless.

I think that Kristin was dealing with her own emotions and they are an Estonian and a Finn, that was enough communication for both of them :D
Why would you say that? No one ever criticizes male players for a simple handshake after a playoff. She doesn't owe her anything.
