@@michaeljwetzel5043 For the achievement he doesn't count as one, you need to find all the missing passengers from the list that you find on the plane. There are two people on the list that don't count, your son and yourself.

I watch people build these elaborate fortresses on rocks, near ledges, all this sort of thing, but I always fall back on the old reliable house boat. You get the safety of the water, plus the maneuverability of a boat! You can't beat it! I normally have three, one on the West coast, one in the large inland lake (just north of the crater) and one on the Southern coast. No matter where you find yourself, a nice safe night sleep is close by.
I do similar, albeit I usually end up making an elaborate fort with bridges connecting the archipelago off the SE coast, using the biggest north island as my home, since you can easily either swim or row to shore for more building supplies or food. I even managed to get far enough in a MP game with my friend at that base to build a series of elevators up the cliff face for easier logging for further base building.
I really hope that in the Forest 2 they do add more versatile threats, cause once you learn that all the enemies can’t do squat at range, all you have to do is keep stocked on arrows and supplies to make more, then find a rock they can’t pathfind onto.
@@Clippy111 The base building is my favourite aspect of this game, especially because it kind of involves some logistics (if on island, need to have cargo boat etc) but yeah. A bow and arrow cannibal would go a long way. Would also be nice if the game rewarded your efforts in base building a bit more and also if the cannibal raids were more coordinated in exchange
I saw clips of the worms building themselves into a bird and flying and I really thought that someone just modded that into the forest, I didnt know that there were special enemys outside of the normal cannibals.
Now I really want to buy the game just to witness the horror of a bunch of sausage links forming a bird xD
The worm was the most recent one they added, but the mutants really make the forest more interesting.

Nothing I love more in a survival game than an island base where nothing can reach you, I love doing it in valheim
When you find an island with a ton of trees so you build a massive cabin complex and forget that your son is missing, possibly dead by the time you remember.

The Forest is such a great game especially with friends. I cant wait for SOTF, shame it got delayed but at least they're taking their time with it.

I've seen a lot of lets plays of this game but I never realized how extensive it is, if I wasn't such a scaredy-cat I may be into playing it :)
When I first played I was scared of going into the caves, over time I got used to them.
I had played it years ago but only created my first singleplayer game like a couple weeks ago as I wanted to test things for a new multiplayer game I was playing with a friend. I found the first night to be absolutely terrifying despite being so experienced at the game already lol. It diminishes once you have walls around you or make your base in an island like I did

Fun fact: while building on water, u can just actually walk on top of them logs, when they float on the water and walk-roll them on the top of the water :D
Glad you liked the video! One time when we were playing I used logs as a bridge between two areas, but then fell, got stuck under some logs, game crashed and lost progress so I don't do it anymore haha
When you think about it we are actually scary to the canibals, a man appear out of nowhere from a giant metal bird that fell from the sky, then he started placing all kind of trap you've never seen before, throwing fire out of thin air and then throw a stick that summon thunder.
Dude this is the best video I've watched, so entertaining as I just picked this game up a few days ago and already logged like 40 hours. The end kinda made me sad ngl, but I put on my big boy pants and decided I'm going for the bad father achievement too I'm already at 43 days so I think I'll be fine. From what I can see from the videos tab of your channel you don't have a lot of videos, so possibly record your reactions to it as well. For example branch out to some games like Apex, Dying light 2, Dayz, Tarkov, Alien Isolation (Even though it's kind of old), Scum (Maybe). I just named off a bunch of cool games I feel like you may enjoy, if you have a public discord please send it over because that would be amazing to look at!!
I have played Dayz, DL2 and Scum are all games I have played before, with Tarkov being on the list of wanting to play.
