I’m no expert, but some states do allow recording without consent of both parties. Not sure if that applies to that phone call or not. Would be interesting to hear from someone more informed on this specific fact.
It gets weird if it's 2 different states, I THINK if it was Logan who recorded without permission he would get in more trouble but because Coffee is in Texas he never needed permission for the recording
Legal recording depends on the state in the US you record from. In California it is illegal to record without permission. But in Texas there is 'one person permission' As long as Coffee is in Texas, and he is, and he is ok with recording himself, then there is no issue. Courts even in California look at where the call originated as the laws and regulations to uphold, as long as Coffee called someone in California from Texas, it doesn't matter if the recording is illegal in California. He is in Texas, the key issue here would be did Coffee receive or send the call? but even then courts tend to ignore if you call someone from another state on the side of, well it's somebody else's problem.
Logan Paul commending Coffeezilla for his work being impartial will never fail to be hilarious, because Coffeezilla exposed Logan's brother Jake Paul as a scammer even before he turned his sights on Logan.

It depends on what state it was recorded in if it's illegal or not, there are plenty of one party states where only one of the parties has to consent to the recording.

Just seems like he got people to pass the blame on. And the blame didn’t pass as well as he’d thought 😂😂 the confidence Logan accusing coffee for using a criminals stand point is wild. You had to hire him my guy. You knew.
The thing about the phone call, it's legal in texas. Texas law state that you can record any voice call you are part of without needing the consent of the other parties so the fact that coffeezilla is in texas do matter.
The thing about the hatching is not the real problem, but there was a "passive earnings" part that was core of the business. Also, Coffee doesn't PLAY the part, but he always begins the talk with the "i'm recording" bit. Logan was not the first one to try to wag this at him. Lastly, the victim being a scammer also was irrelevant to the bit. He was not under scrutiny, why the hell would that be relevant? If he was stabbed by a robber, would the robber be able to use it in his defense? That's just a strawman fallacy bit
The best part about this lawsuit is Coffee can bring up all his scams he ran over the years. Just to show he has long and storied history of committing crimes.
7:30 That doesn't even make sense, "illegal recording"? This is all happening in the US, Federal law is one party consent, i.e. one of the members of the conversation has to consent (the person recording). State law doesn't apply if it's a conversation between two people in different states, which I'm guessing is the case. Instead you default to federal law. Beside that, very few states require two party consent. The only iffy bit is when you try to record phone calls with a company. Theoretically you're allowed to, but if they learn you're doing it, they're not obligated to continue talking to you - it's not that it's illegal for you to record them, it's just that they don't want you to (generally because they can't control what every single call-center employee says, and recordings of a bad employee can damage company reputation even if the employee is later fired).
18:09 The usage of the phone conversation depends on the state. In a lot of states they have dual consent meaning both people have to agree to have the call recorded, but some states aren’t dual consent. So that evidence would just depends on what states they were currently in when the call was recorded.
He's right about the police: the police need to be with the helping party, so they can have precedence over evidence and stuff like that. An unknown party collecting evidence is counterproductive and unusable in a lot of cases.
Bro I’m only 2 minutes in and as soon as Logan mentions that the guy was in jail I immediately said out loud “then why’d you hire him you idiot”. Because there’s no way Logan didn’t know that this guy was in jail AND STILL HIRED HIM.
Note - if you want to reach Logan, don't go through his manager Jeff. You need to contact Logan personally. His manager is a manager because needs manager, but if you talk to Jeff, nothing is passed onward.
When youre doing as many projects as Logan Paul, you rely on your team to make the right decisions and keep your best interest at heart. The mans a WWE superstar, co-founder of one of the largest beverage companies in the world, podcast host/youtuber, and a newly engaged soon-to-be father. Each of which would be a full time job for most of us. With that being said, to blame him, solely, for “the hiring of scammers” is ridiculous. That would be like blaming Elon Musk for a faulty door on a Tesla or Jeff Bezos for a late package. Different scenarios, but essentially the same. As a leader, especially someone as busy as they, you can’t micromanage every step or detail of a project. You rely on the people you appoint to find the best people for the job. Sometimes they fuck up. But that doesn’t mean a few bad actors are representative of who they are as individuals. A leader creates a vision and brings it to life. In Logan’s case, manager Jeff probably should have vetted the developers more thoroughly. But, crypto and NFTs are a fairly new space, and developing a game using blockchain technology is a new venture even for Logan. Yappers will say, “but he has a responsibility and he put his name behind this project blah blah blah.” To be honest, everyone should be accountable for their own decisions. No one was forced to buy cryptozoo. And bad investments happen all the time, it’s a part of life. The reason people bought into cryptozoo was because the idea is genuinely good and creative (Even Logan Paul couldn’t market a bag of shit). But the most baffling thing is all the hate for a guy who 1) has made no money off this project, 2) has put up i think $1million+ for buybacks, and 3) has not even abandoned the project. Even if Logan doesn’t release the game, I still think he’s done more than enough in taking accountability. I dont usually leave comments on anything. But, following Logan over the years, has made me see that he’s an actual genuine person, he’s practiclly a victim himself. Other than this, he’s always followed through on his promises to his community and provided the most creative content and intriguing stories IMO. People will say im d*ck sucking, but im genuinely tired of all the hate online when nobody would act or say anything they post in real life.
I mean honestly I don’t get Logan being the main person getting attacked. We all know that he isn’t the person in the background. He’s the face. Same as prime. Him and Ksi “own the company” even though it’s owned by someone else
9:30 the promises LOGAN PAUL made with Cryptozoo were so great, so massive, so much like a pokemon, that it would have required him to be working on it every single day, for 8-12 hours with his team, 5-7 days a week for 12-24 months. He did not do that. He started this, he made the promises, he funded it, he chose the people to employ, and he lied. He *IS* responsible even *IF* the code was stolen.
Some states use one-party concent laws. Some use two-party. It varies from state to state, so you'll have to check for your state. The gray area is the other party and what state they are in. If you are in a one party state and the other is in a two party state it gets iffy.
I don’t think it’s illegal to record a conversation with someone in the state of Texas. If I remember correctly, it is inadmissible in court without the permission from the other person to record the conversation in the state of Texas.
Coffeezilla does better covering stories and does more in depth investigation than almost any news media these days. I respect him so much for this. The recording is illegal in California where logan and his manager are, so texas laws don't matter, the jurisdiction is where the people on the recording are
This is completely a conspiracy theory but is there any way to prove that he didn’t see any of the profits when the other guys sold and he held on to his to save face?
1 Coffee says he notifies interviewees of recording. Afterall he is conducting an interview. It is standard practice and no reason to hide the fact. 2. wiretapping is a criminal offense not a civil issue and is only criminal is some states. There is no basis for holding a reporter liable for interviewing someone close to the subject at hand just because they have a questionable background. Fuck me, the state puts criminals on the stand with immunity to testify aginst others daily. Nothing you covered as a good point has any legal merit. Not only will a suit be dismisses but SLAP will apply and Logan will be paying all court costs and attorney's fees.

There's uhhh.... Your..... Missing a couple of states there
I’m no expert, but some states do allow recording without consent of both parties. Not sure if that applies to that phone call or not. Would be interesting to hear from someone more informed on this specific fact.
U can record personal conversations that you urself are present for. Otherwise audio isnt allowed like Eavesdropping.
States like New York is a one way consent state so you don’t need both parties to consent. I’m not sure about Texas
@@kelseylyne Did a quick google search. Texas is a One-Way Consent State. So Coffeezilla did not do anything wrong in regards to recording his calls.
It gets weird if it's 2 different states, I THINK if it was Logan who recorded without permission he would get in more trouble but because Coffee is in Texas he never needed permission for the recording
@@Arcademan09 it matter where the recorder is not the other persons state, coffee is in texas so hes welcome to record without telling
Also, wasn't jeff informed that the NFL guy couldn't be found @ NFL references by reporter before the "launch"?'
The phone call thing is going to depend entirely on what state(s) coffee and the manager were in at the time of the call.
It’s a non issue , that’s not what he’s suing for and the phone call question hasn’t come up since then anyway
Logan Paul commending Coffeezilla for his work being impartial will never fail to be hilarious, because Coffeezilla exposed Logan's brother Jake Paul as a scammer even before he turned his sights on Logan.
He called from Texas a 1 party state for phone call recordings so it is completely legal
You're so right.. and you weren't bias because you put out points were coffee couldn't help with any legal investigations with real legal evidence..and other points out there you have... Thanks Charlie for being entertaining even while I'm very sick... Helps me with pain I'm going through now.
“Defending myself with facts😭
It depends on what state it was recorded in if it's illegal or not, there are plenty of one party states where only one of the parties has to consent to the recording.
Now that Vince McMahon is gone, Logan might just be the most despicable crook in the WWE
Watching at 32:21 on a clip channel is hilarious
No literally surprised they ain’t cut that out or sum 😭
Lmao
This is the appropriate way to run a fan account, good job Moisty Archive. By the way, how old is this clip? If it's recent I'm kinda surprised that it took Charlie this long to cover these videos and stuff because it's kinda old.
I wonder how Ludwig and Charlie felt with logan in the Mr beast video.
Coffeyzilla can counter sue Logan for his slanderous post
He won't say anything if he claims legal is making a case.
were gonna get GTA6 before CryptoZoo 😂😂
Just seems like he got people to pass the blame on. And the blame didn’t pass as well as he’d thought 😂😂 the confidence Logan accusing coffee for using a criminals stand point is wild. You had to hire him my guy. You knew.
his lawyer talking
and biggest funny thing is that "hes trying to become better man"
the only thing he become is he hired a morally bankrupt lawyers
Most states only require 1 party to content to a recorded phone call. So it would depend on the state
Logan Scams on CZ: "I'll make damn sure it does come"
Everyone in 2024: "Okay, so where is it" 😂🤮
The thing about the phone call, it's legal in texas. Texas law state that you can record any voice call you are part of without needing the consent of the other parties so the fact that coffeezilla is in texas do matter.
Logan '7 seconds' Paul
Man, my younger brother used to talk like this (9:27) when he'd pull a 'gotcha' when he was 15...
18:09 The usage of the phone conversation depends on the state. In a lot of states they have dual consent meaning both people have to agree to have the call recorded, but some states aren’t dual consent. So that evidence would just depends on what states they were currently in when the call was recorded.
4:54 he said “almost all” clearly intending to not include his own work….
He's right about the police: the police need to be with the helping party, so they can have precedence over evidence and stuff like that. An unknown party collecting evidence is counterproductive and unusable in a lot of cases.
"Are you gonna speedrun disproving everything"
*lies 7 seconds into the video*
This is like watching Ted Bundy defend himself in court all over again.
Logan is scratching at the mirror like a dog thinking his reflection is someone else 😂
Does he not realize that he verified incorrect information, showed twisted facts, and give defenses that doesn't mean anything?
Bro I’m only 2 minutes in and as soon as Logan mentions that the guy was in jail I immediately said out loud “then why’d you hire him you idiot”. Because there’s no way Logan didn’t know that this guy was in jail AND STILL HIRED HIM.
The recording will depend on state and Coffee lives in Texas which is a 1 party consent state.
Its not illegal. Texas is a one party consent state.
Note - if you want to reach Logan, don't go through his manager Jeff. You need to contact Logan personally. His manager is a manager because needs manager, but if you talk to Jeff, nothing is passed onward.
3:11 yeah what that made him look so much worse😂😂
I saw this year's ago. I may have time traveled unknowingly
Spoilers from the future:
Paul has sued for deformation
9:30 the promises LOGAN PAUL made with Cryptozoo were so great, so massive, so much like a pokemon, that it would have required him to be working on it every single day, for 8-12 hours with his team, 5-7 days a week for 12-24 months. He did not do that. He started this, he made the promises, he funded it, he chose the people to employ, and he lied. He *IS* responsible even *IF* the code was stolen.
Jeff is the fall guy. He is kept around to shift the blame for his actions and in return, he gets paid.
Some states use one-party concent laws. Some use two-party. It varies from state to state, so you'll have to check for your state. The gray area is the other party and what state they are in. If you are in a one party state and the other is in a two party state it gets iffy.
Just because the art was from a stock site doesn't mean it isn't handmade. As a photographer selling stock photos, all those photos are made by me.
What until the internet has Logan Paul Unsubscribe Sundays!
I don’t think it’s illegal to record a conversation with someone in the state of Texas. If I remember correctly, it is inadmissible in court without the permission from the other person to record the conversation in the state of Texas.
My brain hurts listening to the Pauls.
53:34 I missed this the first time I saw it but I like the "I was making personal growth but you fucked it up" sentiment with this statement
Guitar hero Jesus should had also included the apology video from Logan
Is this the same guy that wanted to fight Tyson but bitched out after getting rocked in a sparing match?
Holy god the second hand embarrassment of all the Paul d riders coping is incredible
Here, I thought Iron Man Mike was going to fix Logan for us.
Coffeezilla does better covering stories and does more in depth investigation than almost any news media these days. I respect him so much for this. He states his opinion but seperates it from fact so its not mixed. Ive never questioned coffeezilla in any video he does. Not only that he doesnt just throw videos out for money and clicks.
The recording is illegal in California where logan and his manager are, so texas laws don't matter, the jurisdiction is where the people on the recording are
This is completely a conspiracy theory but is there any way to prove that he didn’t see any of the profits when the other guys sold and he held on to his to save face?
the "kids" that are fans are people who are now in college who were in middle school when the Japan controversy happened.
Logan sounds like The Deep
lol i fought a life sentence and am probably the most honest
1 Coffee says he notifies interviewees of recording. Afterall he is conducting an interview. It is standard practice and no reason to hide the fact. 2. wiretapping is a criminal offense not a civil issue and is only criminal is some states. There is no basis for holding a reporter liable for interviewing someone close to the subject at hand just because they have a questionable background. Fuck me, the state puts criminals on the stand with immunity to testify aginst others daily.
Nothing you covered as a good point has any legal merit. Not only will a suit be dismisses but SLAP will apply and Logan will be paying all court costs and attorney's fees.
this is from like 1 year ago i thought it was something new
NFTs are not pictures. They are the access to view what's on the other end - in other words, an NFT is a URL!
Logan Paul: "This guy let his own kid invest in crypto."
Also Logan, while advertising CryptoZoo: "We're bringing the blockchain to kids."
40:30 They can use from Coffee's investigation... ONLY IF it can be collaborated with a proper investigation then they might submitted akin to an expert testimony.
I’m just gonna say Dink Doink. 🤷🏻♂️
this video is going to be hilarious against logan in court XD
We going back watching all the Logan Paul videos after the “your prime is so yummy sir” moment last week?
this is way funnier after logan sue coffee
I keep seeing people say "Logan didn't sell" as if it's not possible that his partners sold and then paid him out from the profit so he could keep his nose clean and make a profit while seeming like a victim.
