I have to comment and let you know my experience with this wood chipper. I have had mine since 2022 and use it a lot. The crankshaft has broken twice and required replacement. If I would only have purchased the warranty! I have also had to replace the muffler twice, probably due to the vibration that happens right before the crankshaft breaks. My suggestion is to buy the warranty versus repairing the unit yourself. With the exception that it breaks when chipping large 2-3" hard wood branches, it does a great job of making mulch, it is easy to move around and starts very easy and runs well. IF you have already purchased this unit, go see if you can get the warranty after the fact. With heavy use or large branches, this unit will break. Is it a better deal than other similar units that are higher priced? Yes, they all use the same 212 CC motor.
That is great that they found a way to help you not need to pay for a whole new one. Didn't something like that happen before, where someone let you buy the extended warranty after the breakdown? Was it also Harbor Freight or did I make that up?

Thanks for the info. Yeah this is one time I think the warranty is worth it.
Oh nice result - glad they sorted you out. I love a bit of good news :)
