      You’re welcome and thanks for watching - and we get to send some money off to charity if more people watch as you have done. 🙏. The scenery is breathtaking and those Polar Bears are something special. Thanks again. cheers David and Paula.

      Thanks and yes if only we were better at capturing it, but we think it came together pretty well. Most of it is ours but as you saw we borrowed a couple of scenes of vid from the ships photographer - with permission - to help. The stills are better for resolution and distance, the gopro does a pretty good job with the VLOG and the scenery impression. Magical place - so the backdrop and the polar bears do most of the video and photo work for us. Thanks for watching, much appreciated. cheers

      Thank you. We are very surprised by just how special Scoresbysund and Magdelebefjioden are. Thanks for watching. We have on e more shorter episode to close off the Arctic Expedition Cruise, which will be next week now - as we had some other personal things to address this week and the vid isn't quite complete yet. Keep an eye put and thank you as always.

      They are simply amazing aren’t they? And yes we watched for so long the chill started to soak in, but to be fair we could go and grab a hot drink and warm up once they moved on. And we can still feel the coolness when we watch the vids. Such stunning amen magical creatures in such a harsh and stark surround - and what about those fjords? Breathtaking. thanks for watching and the more people watch the more we can send off to Legacy this. month.

    Another excellent update. The polar bears really are amazing animals. Interesting how they exist on the ice flows. Thanks so much for sharing your amazing trip and the scenery. Well done.

      Hi and thank you. The hope to see a polar bear was a major attraction in deciding to do this trip to the North Pole. We got to see 9 which is amazing. Yes they operate hundreds of kilometers from land on the ice flows, walking and swimming and hunting. It’s incredible. The scenery is breathtaking here. Thanks for watching and the feedback, we really appreciate it. cheers

      Thanks so much. 🙏I’m feeling a lot better now thank you. As you will see on the next couple of episodes, including after the ship, I got knocked about and it took about 2 weeks to settle back to normal. we had some prescription medication referred by our Doctor to help and I have some great physio exercises to help rebalance the ear. We think it was a combination of things this time and nowhere near as bad as a few years ago. Thank you for the concern. The trip was awesome and seeing the polar bears was such a “pinch me” event. Thank you for following our adventures and we hope we can raise a bit for Legacy. Those poor families. Makes our first world problems seem so trivial when we see the impact on those families. Kind regards Paula ❤️

    • @nextleveloz
      @nextleveloz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It is a magical part of the planet and while some was what we hoped or expected - like hoping to see a polar bear - it was more than we expected especially deep into Scoresbysund and Magdelenefjord where this ship can get that large cruise ships can't. Thanks for following along and taking the time to comment. cheers

    Magical, stunning, breathtaking, beautiful, epic, magnificent. All of those words and more. Literally couldn’t believe what I was seeing and some of it actually brought tears to my eyes. What an incredible experience. Think I may have discovered my new fave place on the planet. Will be watching it again. Yes I get bad motion sickness, never go anywhere without my Kwells which seem to work for me. See you next time 😊

    • @nextleveloz
      @nextleveloz  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      All of those things! ❤️❤️❤️. It’s a revelation isn’t it? It was quite different what we expected and obviously we like things that have an “expeditiony” feel. This was a bit more luxe than we need - not that Paula got to enjoy some of the food and drink trappings for half the trip 🥺. 9 Polar Bears was eight more than we’d hoped for. But the scenery around the fjords is not way you expect - or we didn’t. The two polar areas are stunning and we are making up our mind which we prefer and why and how that compares to the Lap and other overland options to come. And yes the motion sickness is quite common and that’s a factor - but as you say most people learn what helps treat it for them. Thanks again. We really appreciate it. 🙏

    I started to watch this on my phone but when the polar bear appeared I realised it needed the large screen TV.. wow what scenery

    • @nextleveloz
      @nextleveloz  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Peter. Is that because the bears are smaller in the vid (some distance) or the fact it was harder to colour grade the white bears against the white ice? But yes - the bigger the screen the bigger the vista. Thanks for watching as always and we hope we can cobble together a bit for Legacy along the way as well. It is a pretty speccy trip so we hope people get to enjoy something a bit different. All the best - coffee time for us now!

    Fantastic still shots David. I wonder what the French flagged yacht was doing there? Did you take that formal dinner jacket and bow tie with you from Australia? I see you are still an occasional contributor on the zone forum. My wife is a member. Looking forward to the wrap up. While this looks spectacular I think I might prefer to wander through the French or Italian countryside. BTW I contracted a virus which thickened the fluid in my ears when I was in my late 30's. Forget the name of it. Anyway it took about 10 years for my brain to completely ignore my ears but consequently I cant stand up in the dark!

    • @nextleveloz
      @nextleveloz  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@michaeldallimore8590 Thanks Michael. The scenery helps the photos for sure 😂. Maybe Sue Floods tips and guidance was having some effect as well. It is one of a number personal yachts that float around for leisure, permanent living. It was quite a protected and scenic mooring tucked in a little Bay at the back of Magdelenefjord. I suspect that’s why the old Whaling Station was there. Yes, we packed the white gear, under sufferance. Our experience on our Antarctic trip was that neat casual and a casual jacket was more than acceptable and some even wore slightly dressed up expedition gear. This one seemed a bit more forward in suggesting the dress standard for the gala nights. Mind you it went over well and several others were dressed up - but it wasn’t necessary. Captains table was lovely and it’s our second trip with Charbel Daher, but we’d be just as happy with the smaller restaurant and a bottle of wine and miss the galas. Yes, been on the Zone forums for a while now. If the subscribers are reasonable they become good forums for information sharing. And yes, you could do quite a few leisurely trips to the Provence or Tuscany for the cost of these sorts of expedition cruises, so between cost and personal preference - all very reasonable considerations. Thanks for watching and the feedback. Much appreciated. Cheers
