Sometimes they search, sometimes they don't. It's good that they do. Lots of choices for durian, I tend to like it. Don't have it with beer, tho. That's a good microphone! I'm impressed how clearly your voice came in while on the bike.
I got checked many times, and I got fed up with it. I don't even look suspicious or anything, just a typical Thai guy here. My new approach was just walked straight to the security guard and offered my bag for the search lol.
@RaiWayOut As thai person, My strategy is to open the backpack and walk straight to the guard to let them check it reguardless they want to check my bag or not. I feel a bit weird when a big mall like Paragon lets people skip the metal detector. They should be more preventive after the school shooting by the high school kid.
1:46 I noticed that he misunderstood 😅 There re so many place that starts with Ratc… for example Ratchadamri , Ratchayothin. ,Ratchathewi ,Ratchada etc. You wanna go to Ratchathewi but he think you wanna go to Ratchayothin station instead 😅.
The backpack will be checked all the time. It's random. If there are not many passengers, yes they will check on your bag (just try to put the job in action). So don't feel awkward for that 😊
travel Early is very good in Bangkok, tust me, i did it very often use Via Bus to commute in Bangkok, it tell time arrive where is the bus too enjoy the ride and the foood :) top of the temple is the place for monk and inside is the Lord Buddha's relics, Buddish people pay respect on yellow small chair
Temples usually get traffic in early morning & evening and special occasions like Buddhist days or holidays. Also for your bus problem, this is kind of a bad time to use them haha because they are actually in the process of overhauling the bus routes, so some info on Google Maps will be outdated for now.
It is normal school. In the past, it was no official school, but the temple and monk teached childrens both secular and dharma contents. This arthiculture "Loha Prasart" or Metal Castle is very rare, there are only 2 in the world, another one might be in Sri Lanka.
Only two in the world is so rare! I saw inside that there was inspiration from Sri Lanka, so I think you’re right. But thank you for sharing your knowledge 🙏🏾😁
Passenger travel in Thailand There are many routes available, electric trains, taxis, buses, and there are also passenger boats on the canals in Bangkok. If you study the route And the method of using the service is very convenient for coming to Ratchanadda Temple because the passenger boat station is very close to the temple.
Bag inspections are common. Actually they were more common in the past, especially for foreigners. But now they're not doing them as often, and to be honest, sometimes we just ignore the guards.
@@RaiWayOut Technically yes, you could. But after a while it just got to be ridiculous for everyone when we're on the way to and from work. So they kind of stopped in our area.
Thailand public/private place random check for bag from time to time, as local it very annoy but understandable, Bangkok got terorerist and gun shooter from time to time the check doesnt really effective of course it needed x-ray machine but better than not checking at all so people feel comfortable of being check since they are there to ramdon check.
There is an application called VIABUS but I don't know if it covers all the buses in BKK. You can type in the location and it will tell you which line to take.
I think it’s better to take bts or mrt and get off at the station that close to the place and take a bus or motorcycle taxi to the place that you want to go ( save time ). Have a good day.
sometimes my thai bag was searched, sometimes not, not consistent, and my bag is one fourth your bag size. staff on some buses are crazier people than those on sky trains and subway hahaha.
@@RaiWayOut no no no go try, they are tamer now. Back then I must always be prepared to do it right, like someone in front of me rang the bus stop bell too many times, the bus lady told them if you are in such a hurry, you can go through the window now.
Thanks for the tour. I'll check out the temple soon. BTW I think the BTS security just wanted to interact with you but since he didn't speak English he didn't know how. Also how did you keep your cap on the whole time on motorbike?
If you want more interaction at any temple in Thailand you have to go between 11am-12pm. during this time they are usually either chanting or feeding the monks. On Sundays is the busiest usually as that's when most Thai's are at the temple around 10am to 1pm
As a Thai Buddhist guy born in the 90s, we've been taken to temple worship every week or so. We are familiar with temples and its beauty so why its empty? its hot as hell outside bro, XD ...and so, the indoor shopping mall culture begins.
@@RaiWayOut haha it’s just that most of Thai are Buddhist and every village has their own temple because temple has become very relevant to life. From birth to death. Back in the ancient time, People would go to the monk at temple to give good name to the newborn as the monk was more educated and people go to temple when they are sick ..for blessing and to make good merit so it uplifting their soul. And when people die, we organize the funeral at temple either burry or cremation. And people go to temple everyday to make merit as a symbol and practice of selflessness, give? Empathy, etc. or people go to temple to seek for advice from the monk in any case about life too so yeah, we seems that we needed to have that many temple to handle all those job 😅😅😅😅
If you don't know something, just ask a Thai person, they are happy to help you. Even if the Thai person doesn't have good English skills, they will try to help you with what you need. That's it for Thailand. All Thai people will not ignore you, but you have to try to understand and give time because there are cultural and language differences. Have a nice trip to Thailand.
About the backpack search, it is actually very random, and it has only been done on only some stations. You do nothing wrong, and it doesn't have anything to do with the camera either. You are fine.
Introducing Wat Phra Kaew, which is a royal temple built and has a long history. There's a place I want you to go. That is, the temple is made entirely of wood. Much more beautiful than cement or concrete. You can find information online.
The maze in the temple you walked is for walking meditation so buddhist practice walking meditation every step will be mindful and focus on breathing not thinking anything just focus on the step it’s called “เดินจงกรม“ the one practice that Buddha teaches us to do. That’s why it’s very quiet 😅 normally we can’t talk when we do that practice.
Don’t worry! I understand it, it happens sometimes. I can tell it wasn’t any bad intentions so I don’t mind. Thank you so much for watching and leaving a comment! 😁🙏🏾
The Buddhas are different, I saw my Buddha, Wednesday Buddha, its pretty cool. Figure out which day of the week you were born and you'll also figure out which is your Buddha.
You go to this temple via the canel boat service, more convenient and cheap. Only 5 minutes-walk from Ratchathewi BTS station to the pier and less than 10 minute-walk from Phan Fa Le Lad pier to the temple.
The roofs of the square castle were made of metal and consisted of 37 peaks. They were not made of wood and roof tiles like the other temple buildings. The temple design was adapted from Sri Lanka into a traditional Thai style and houses the relics of the Buddha. The most famous Buddha statue is 'พระพุทธเสฏฐุตตมมุนิทร์.' To answer your question, I'm not sure about the differences between the other statues inside, but they were not made with the same details since many different constructors worked on them with the concept of showcasing various Buddha postures. I apologize for my limited knowledge, but I hope this information helps.
Limited knowledge?? You just taught me so much!!!!! That’s incredible. Thank you for sharing this knowledge. I did notice on of of the plaques it mentioned inspiration from Sri Lanka
This is a check to prevent the entry of weapons and dangerous items. The security officer gave the wrong way. I'm sorry he doesn't understand English. You should read the directions. The signs are in English. It might be easier than asking him. You should ask if he speaks English. Foreigners with backpacks and bags will be subject to security checks.
Yes, i definitely should’ve spoken more clearly. Usually I just check the directions myself but since the guard wanted to help I thought it was nice. I’m glad he was very nice! I think having these security checks are okay if it’s for everyone’s safety.
Drink cold drink plenty because it will help cool you off to maintain body temperature. The temples are mostly quiet unless there is famous due to the previous abbot who got respected with certain abilities provided protection to deciples. That hall way is for you neditate through walking. Most temple would not charge you to enter to pay respect ir tour the campus.
I started drinking a lot more water. I really wasn’t drinking enough. Thank you for that great information! I feel that even if the temple is free, paying respects is great 😊
no, the guard just does his duty (his job) check the bag which he suspects....it is alright as long as there is no gun or bullet or knife in your bag.// you really convince my estimation....i always think that bangkok has been bigger than any city on earth (bangkok + its neighbour vicinity provinces)😅😅

Sometimes they search, sometimes they don't. It's good that they do. Lots of choices for durian, I tend to like it. Don't have it with beer, tho. That's a good microphone! I'm impressed how clearly your voice came in while on the bike.
Yeah I heard if you eat durian with a beer it is m bad for you! I’ll avoid combining them 🙏🏾😅 thank you!
I’m gonna go! Thank you for your recommendations! I appreciate that 😁🙏🏾
Welcome to Thailand. Hope you enjoy this trip!😊❤
I appreciate it! So far it’s amazing 😊
Don't feel bad about the buses. I'm Thai and still can't figure out the bus routes in Bangkok ^^"
Ahahaha! I’m not alone! That makes me feel better
@@RaiWayOut Ha ha ha Right on ,man.
lmao, I live and born in the center of Bangkok, and I don't really know it too.
I got checked many times, and I got fed up with it. I don't even look suspicious or anything, just a typical Thai guy here. My new approach was just walked straight to the security guard and offered my bag for the search lol.
😂😅that’s a very good strategy. This was my first time but if it happened all the time I’d feel the same as you
@RaiWayOut As thai person, My strategy is to open the backpack and walk straight to the guard to let them check it reguardless they want to check my bag or not. I feel a bit weird when a big mall like Paragon lets people skip the metal detector. They should be more preventive after the school shooting by the high school kid.
Wow was this recent??
@RaiWayOut just passed 1 year this month
@@iice1915 that’s really terrible. Stay safe out here. I generally feel safer here in Thailand than in New York though
🤣honestly yes! I noticed all the stops with similar names! I think it’s an easy mistake, especially since my pronunciation isn’t great
The backpack will be checked all the time. It's random. If there are not many passengers, yes they will check on your bag (just try to put the job in action). So don't feel awkward for that 😊
Thank you for your comment! 🙏🏾😁 I don’t mind it
Sometime they check your bag at the BTS station sometime not check. I'm Thai have same experience.
I see! It’s more common than I thought wow 😳
travel Early is very good in Bangkok, tust me, i did it very often
use Via Bus to commute in Bangkok, it tell time arrive where is the bus too
enjoy the ride and the foood :) top of the temple is the place for monk and inside is the Lord Buddha's relics, Buddish people pay respect on yellow small chair
Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it 😊🙏🏾 also, I really want to learn the bus system! I’ll try it again!
Temples usually get traffic in early morning & evening and special occasions like Buddhist days or holidays. Also for your bus problem, this is kind of a bad time to use them haha because they are actually in the process of overhauling the bus routes, so some info on Google Maps will be outdated for now.
Wow, thanks for that information! So maybe I’ll wait awhile before I try a bus route again 😅
Nice video namo Buddha
Thank you! 🙏🏾
It's one of the most beautiful temple. Normally lots of tourists visiting.
Ah okay, then maybe I just went at a good time 😁
Passenger travel in Thailand There are many routes available, electric trains, taxis, buses, and there are also passenger boats on the canals in Bangkok. If you study the route And the method of using the service is very convenient for coming to Ratchanadda Temple because the passenger boat station is very close to the temple.
Thanks for the info! I need to learn more 🙏🏾
Bag inspections are common. Actually they were more common in the past, especially for foreigners. But now they're not doing them as often, and to be honest, sometimes we just ignore the guards.
Wow you don’t get in trouble if you ignore them? Ahaha since I’m a foreigner I’m sure I’d get in trouble 🤣
@@RaiWayOut Technically yes, you could. But after a while it just got to be ridiculous for everyone when we're on the way to and from work. So they kind of stopped in our area.
I understand that, it can become a hassle during rush hour!
Yeah I’d rather safety over comfort so I understand. I didn’t know things like that happened here though! Thank you for your comment 🙏🏾
There is an application called VIABUS but I don't know if it covers all the buses in BKK. You can type in the location and it will tell you which line to take.
I’ll definitely try this! If I can learn the bus system I think it’ll be convenient
I think it’s better to take bts or mrt and get off at the station that close to the place and take a bus or motorcycle taxi to the place that you want to go ( save time ). Have a good day.
Yeah you’re definitely right 😅
i went there a lot. it is good place to park and eat around there. lots of great shop around there. MRT would be better choice to go.
you should visit at evening too. it is really beautiful
I’m going to try in the evening next time! Thank you 🤩
sometimes my thai bag was searched, sometimes not, not consistent, and my bag is one fourth your bag size.
staff on some buses are crazier people than those on sky trains and subway hahaha.
Ahaha oh no, should I avoid busses then? 😅
@@RaiWayOut no no no go try, they are tamer now. Back then I must always be prepared to do it right, like someone in front of me rang the bus stop bell too many times, the bus lady told them if you are in such a hurry, you can go through the window now.
😂😂😂 oh my goodness that’s wild. I’m going to try!
Thanks for the tour. I'll check out the temple soon. BTW I think the BTS security just wanted to interact with you but since he didn't speak English he didn't know how. Also how did you keep your cap on the whole time on motorbike?
I hope you will enjoy it too! And as far as keeping my cap on, I just make it very tight before riding ahahaha
มันเป็นเพราะว่า คนส่วนใหญ่มาทำบุญเสร็จ พระเทศนาสอน แล้วก็กลับเอาคำสอนไปใช้ในชีวิต

I understand! Thank you for watching and thank you for your comment 😁🙏🏾
If you want more interaction at any temple in Thailand you have to go between 11am-12pm. during this time they are usually either chanting or feeding the monks. On Sundays is the busiest usually as that's when most Thai's are at the temple around 10am to 1pm
@@ryanross4594 I’m definitely interested in seeing that! Also do you have a temple recommendation I should visit?
@@RaiWayOut Phra Buddha Dhammakāya Thepmongkhon

Have you visited Siam? It is quite a big place :D
I have and wow it really is huge. I really think Thailand has the best malls I’ve experienced in the world so far 🙏🏾😊
@@RaiWayOut Are you still in Thailand? Btw welcome to Thailand :)
As of now, I’m back in Thailand, I actually went to Japan for a month.
The bike you took just followed the bus going there 2-2
Ahaha I noticed that!!! 😅🤣
As a Thai Buddhist guy born in the 90s, we've been taken to temple worship every week or so.
We are familiar with temples and its beauty so why its empty? its hot as hell outside bro, XD
...and so, the indoor shopping mall culture begins.
Ahahah! Thank you for your explanation 🙏🏾it really is hot out I understand that
In the old day many schools usually attach to temples in Thailand because monks are teachers .
Wow! That’s amazing thank you for sharing !
A temple is supposed to be a quiet place where you can always come to have peace of mind.
I agree! The peace and quiet is a great thing
Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan (Wat Ratchanatdaram Worawihan) at 25.19 ที่นี่คือที่บรรจุ พระบรมสารีริกธาตุ Buddhist relics
Wow I really thought it was beautiful! I’m still shocked that many people don’t visit. Maybe it’s better this way. Thank you for watching 🙏🏾
We have over 42,000 temple around the country. SO it is very common that there is almost no one at some temple unless it is famous temple ...
I see! Yeah it makes sense, especially with how many you can visit 😁
I really do think it’s wonderful how involved Thai society is with their spirituality. It’s a beautiful thing. 🙏🏾😊 thank you for sharing this!!!
Thank you! Thai people have always been very helpful to me! I’m grateful ☺️
If you want to meet people, you might want to prepare well, like ChatGPT, because places like temples only have people at certain times.
Understandable! Thank you 😊🙏🏾
About the backpack search, it is actually very random, and it has only been done on only some stations. You do nothing wrong, and it doesn't have anything to do with the camera either. You are fine.
Thanks for letting me know what you think 🙏🏾😊 and thanks for watching!
Introducing Wat Phra Kaew, which is a royal temple built and has a long history. There's a place I want you to go. That is, the temple is made entirely of wood. Much more beautiful than cement or concrete. You can find information online.
I’m going to look it up and visit when I find it! Thank you so much! 🙏🏾
Thanks for sharing! It was so silent! I’m glad I didn’t speak loudly but I’ll be sure to be mindful when going to temples 🙏🏾I appreciate you
It's weird here cuz sometime they check and sometime they don't. For me as a local it's 50/50.
Yeah I think it happens but it’s not really a bad thing. Thanks for watching! 🙏🏾
Bro about the bus if you want the bus to pick you up you need to call them by raising up your hand if not they'll just pass through your bus station.
I had no idea wow 🤯 okay, when I get the confidence back to try again I’ll do this ahaha
This temple built by King Rama 3 of Thailand built in 1846 this temple was old and beautiful
It’s one of my favorites ☺️🙏🏾
And thank you for telling me!
I got bag search all the time 😂 and im just a thai and tiny and cute little girl lmaoo
Ahahah I wonder if they’re scared of you 😂😅🙏🏾 thank you for watching
I apologize for the security guards giving me the wrong directions. They are minimum wage employees, so their work quality is not good enough.
I’m going to find out! That’s so interesting! Thank you for sharing 😁🙏🏾
You go to this temple via the canel boat service, more convenient and cheap. Only 5 minutes-walk from Ratchathewi BTS station to the pier and less than 10 minute-walk from Phan Fa Le Lad pier to the temple.
By boat would’ve been much more enjoyable! Thank you! I’ll take that route next time 😁
this temple is perfect for a game map and horror movie lol
That would be really creepy actually 😳
That makes sense! Thank you for sharing this 😌🙏🏾
Because the number of monks is decreasing, being a monk is difficult. You have to abandon everything and focus on practice.
Yeah I imagine that’s a very difficult sacrifice for everyone! So I understand. I wonder if it’ll eventually improve 🤔
ความสงบใจกลางเมืองใหญ่พิเศษเสมอครับ Hope you find another amazing places in Bangkok . be safe and enjoy krub
Thank you! There’s been so many amazing g recommendations I feel like I can’t see them all but so many great places.
I did notice on of of the plaques it mentioned inspiration from Sri Lanka
it's normal that staff will ask you to open your bag for all people including Thai
Ah okay I heard it was very rare. Thank you for watching!

I agree! The uniqueness really does give it a special aura. Maybe the last of its kind I’ve been told! Thank you for your comment 🙏🏾😊

Hello! 👋🏾
I feel that even if the temple is free, paying respects is great 😊
Oh the security thought you gonna go to Rachayothin but you wanna go to Rachathewi that's why he sent you to the opposite way.
Ahahaa yeah it’s kinda funny now that I think about it 😅
Rad-cha-ta-wee station
That definitely helps my pronunciation 😅thank you!
It’s empty because the time you visit is not the time people come to the temple! They likely come on weekends or in the morning
That makes sense! Especially knowing people work or go to school, midday wouldn’t be busy. Thank you for watching 😁
no, the guard just does his duty (his job) check the bag which he suspects....it is alright as long as there is no gun or bullet or knife in your bag.// you really convince my estimation....i always think that bangkok has been bigger than any city on earth (bangkok + its neighbour vicinity provinces)😅😅
@@orawanjan3442 i understood that, I was just saying how it’s never happened and I don’t care about the search. I don’t have anything illegal so it doesn’t matter to me. And the guard was nice and respectful so it’s fine 🤞🏾
AHA, you are at the pavillion with 37 peaks, not the resident area of those monks and abbot along with the Chapel
I see! Ahaha thank you for clarifying for me 🙏🏾
Ignore the BTS guards, dont look at them. They wont bother you.
Always maps before you go through the ticket barrier.

Hey friend, I have something to tell you. If you see a disabled person sitting on the side of the road begging, try not to give them money because they are not really disabled. They were a gang of beggars from a neighboring country. who illegally entered Thailand
