As a drummer ..... watching delta having fun and really soaking in a groove and being so immersed in the moment is so awesome and inspiring....:can deff pick up the subtle moments that are probably only observed by drummers.

I was lucky enough to see APC live in 2004 and it was one of the best live performances I've seen (alongside NIN). You could easily take Josh Freese's chair based off this playing!
I saw them around the same time in Melbourne on their Australian leg of the ‘Thirteenth Step’ tour. The gig was supremely tight and mostly due to Josh’s phenomenal performance. He’s so good that he actually embellishes occasionally with extra fills/some double bass work etc. It’s still, to this day, truly one of my favourite concerts (and I’ve seen ‘em all).

Applicable way to describe Mr.Freese’s contributions. I play to a lot more difficult music now, but Josh’s drum tracks with APC are always killer fun to play. He’s the consummate professional session drummer. He adds just enough spice (with his signature power grooves) to a song to make his mark without ever overplaying and detracting from the essence of the songwriting.
Dude wtf, so awesome. I sit her and pray in my next life I can have the ability to play like that. It must be such a trip and enjoyment to be a music fan and such a high level musician where you can enjoy the music you love on a whole different level of interaction rather than a passive listener. Jealous in a good way!

I seen APC I can't remember the year (71 here) in Wilkes-Barre PA and Josh played that night with one leg in a cast and didn't miss a beat.
