I am from Mobay sis try and plant a vegetable garden in your backyard if you live in your private home if you live in apartment that option might not work however since you drive we all know someone in the country side of Jamaica take a day trip and get food from the local farmers there that definitely will lower your food bill. One love sis 🇯🇲.
I love these videos! Showing the cost of living, how long it takes at the tax office, running errands and doing everyday things...my guilty pleasure is watching these 😁 Honestly...groceries are the same in the U.S. Some things might higher and some lower. It's ridiculous 🙄

Watching these videos are also my guilty pleasure! While the cost of groceries may relatively be the same price (sometimes more in JA0 I think Jamaicans feel the pinch a lot more. Their minimum wage for a 40 hr work week is about $85 USD. There are also a lot more social services in place in the US (food stamps, cash assistance, etc) to help offset the costs for poor people.

cost of livin has risen everywhere so jamaica is no exception in this. food , rent, mortgage, bills. yuh just got to budget and cut back, buy bulk if you can store items. market is good for fresh items. keep it going girl. you are on the right track. bless up.

That's a lot of money for that small amount of stuff her in the uk you can get a big trolley of food in them discount supermarket for £100 stuff in Jamaica are very expensive i find that out when i was there in 2021 i couldn't believe it .that's the reason i try my best to send a change to my families out there each month to help them because it's really hard out there
Yes, things are more expensive here. Alot of ppl dont realise it thinking that things are cheaper becuz JA is a 3rd world country but not the case. Thanks for watching!

Things expensive everywhere, i went overseas and after having a shopping cart not even full only to start self checking and see that i was way over US 300 and i idnt get everything that i needed. Walmart nuh cheap again like one time

Welcome back. trust me, girl, it's all over. I'm in Canada and $100 just for just basic needs. Basically, if meat is involved, it's only for two days. Clearly cost when not on sale can cost from. $5 to 10.

£200 pounds don't get u much groceries in the UK anymore. Sometimes I try to buy supermarket brands. But some of them have gotten a bit pricey too

People that live in parts of Jamaica cannot afford groceries period when I was there was hardly anyone in the supermarket shopping this was back in 2017 I went there to by grapes I love grapes I tell you it caught me some money.
I go to the whole sale or PriceSmart when I'm in Ja and the market for fresh fruits and veg.
Yeah better prices too! I try to get my fresh fruits and veg from the market whenever I can but these days I mostly get everything in one place.
