It's up to us to aid and help each other. I remember the 1970s when there were just 300 hmong people in America. We come a long ways. There are today, hmong that attained Doctors, Lawerys, Senators , despite all our hardships. For example in the jungle my brother and I got separated from our family in the chaos of war and refuge. In a clearing and strangely calm and quiet we saw a little girl bout our age 4 and 6. She simply said in Hmong, " your guys family ran that way." Without thought we ran, moments later that calm clearing in the jungle was hit by explosion. I often hope she made it as I hope the Hmong name, the people makes it.
