WOW! I was surprised when I saw a shot of your 70's vintage Yamaha CR-420 stereo receiver that's right beneath the Dynacord amp you're using to run your NS10 speakers. My parents used to have a Yamaha CR-820 which looks almost exactly the same except the CR-820 has two VU meters on the left side whereas you CR-420 only has one. That's the only immediate noticeable difference I can see. However, I'm pretty sure they're probably others as well. Anyway, I don't see too many of these around, so I was just surprised to see that you have one. BTW, I have a pair of NS10 clones by Avantone called CLA-10As. They're active monitors, so they don't require an external amp. So far, everything I've mixed on these speakers translations really well, a heck of a lot better that my previous M-Audio monitors do. I like how revealing the midrange is on the CLA-10As, which is the whole point of using NS10s (or their clones) in the studio for mixing. So far, these are among the best pair of monitors I've ever bought, along with a couple of subs for the lowend and a pair of Yamaha MSP3s simply as an additional set of monitors to reference my mixes on. Great stuff!
I think you got a good pair there. Iam hunting for some Ns10s and have come to the conclusion that the condition of the box is unimportant, look at the woofers. There are 1000 dollar sets out there with beautiful cases but creased drivers.

They sound great from there to here even on my cheap little M-Audio AV 40's. LOL!
