SL s1 i made a discord and invited everyone to it with a temp link. if they were good i gave them permanent access. Was able to grow it to about 50 active players. Always had keys going on, and i was able to even get an invite to someone's night of mythic slugfest progress. was hands down my fav M+ season!
I feel really sorry for any solo dps that waited a while to start M+ this season. Currently I am close to 2700 io and I like to run super low keys just to get my hands warmed up before pushing... I swear some 2-4 keys are considerably harder to heal than a 9 or even 10. I could not imagine trying to work through that minefield into the 10+ range right now.
I feel this. My groups 2600 right now and after we 2 chested an 11 mists, 2 of us went to help a low geared buddy with a 4 mists. We overtimed that key by 8 minutes LOL. Two 625 dps just couldn’t carry the pug tank and healer. We ended that run with 28 deaths 😂
Tried my first key of the season the other day, as I was busy on initial launch. A NW+2 -- only a plus 2, how hard could it be? Got to the two cleave/fear mobs on the bridge after the first boss, and it just walled the group. People KEPT standing in the cleave, and could /not/ step out of the huge purple fear circle to save their lives (or interrupt the cast; I was healing on Priest so no interrupt myself because....) 😔. After being feared into other packs and just chain wiping repeatedly to those mobs, the tank left and thus ended my first key of TWW.
I’m dps that waited , just started m+ the other day. They’ve been fine. Easy. No problems, maybe one +4 we didn’t time. And I’m brand new to healing and I started healing them too, harder but much more rewarding. Don’t feel sorry you prob got some trash groups 😂
I’d love if you could get Meteos on. He’s the #1 feral Druid and an ex league of legends pro. It would be very cool to hear his thoughts on playing a non meta spec (that most people look at poorly) and finding ways to be competitive using his experiences as a pro in another game.
Amazing interview as usual. One minor comment, the "ice spikes" of the last boss as mentioned around the 1 hour mark are not magical, as mentioned, but deal physical damage
Managed to hit 2900 io pugging as Retribution Paladin. This season has been really weird with many ups and downs. In the beginning I couldn't get a single invite for 30+ Minutes to a +10. Now I instantly get invited. People really only look at score, but have had better experience with people in the 2.4-2.6k range vs people at 3k. I think it also has to do with the skill difference required for like 9s and 10s vs doing 12s, 13s and higher. Little tricks with warlock gates, pulling certain packs together etc you only learn by seeing one group do it and then you apply it in your future runs to ''pass it on''. Anyway, my main tip for ANYONE doing m+ looking to start out pushing or getting score, try to push your own key, try to add people you enjoyed playing with, consistency is key. Don't hold cooldowns for too long worrying about packs 3+ minutes ahead at the cost of wiping on your current pull because you were holding back. Lost count how many times we wipe because 1 or 2 dps are doing little to no dps because they are holding cooldowns. Oh, and interrupts. please focus on those more than anything else. If it's with random people, discuss beforehand a sort of soft interrupt rotation, or have a tank mark key mobs with a skull and cross and say beforehand ''you kick X or skull'' etc.
He has some really unique views and is a great communicator in my opinion. I think a OneAzeroth interview would make for a really entertaining interview.
im 3.1k io tank pure pugging thing season, what i found works best is a detailed route with tons of notes for when to save CDs yes some wont look at it but the ones that do itll help, adjusting my route to the comp/team most routes i can do +10 pulls and still time a 13, if i type ( ill get circle kick) it tends to help to not overlap. ( expecting people to be lazy and having to save my interupt for last second ones) if im pugging i have to realize I WILL need to do more work/ put in more effort in order to time, i cant be lazy and expect people to play correctly, always assume somone wont position correctly and preposition stuff to make it easier for dps
Ortemist comment on people being confused you are playing something might be more common that you would think. I played Prot Warrior in DF S4 and I did a +14 and it must have been like 2.5 months in. The healer told me that he hasn't healed a Prot warrior all season and asked if there is anything he should look out for. it seemed very genuine.
1:28:30 This pack is a lot easier in a co-ordinated group if you all stack up near a wall, the charge is targeted and they will all charge into the wall, and barely move at all.
Pool of dps is extremely high, and a record of their ability is kept across 4+ websites. Then you have constant “THESE ARE THE BEST SPECS FOR M+!” Videos being pumped out for content & $$$. Then we all act surprised when elitist behavior blooms all around us. Blame the people who think they need every possible handicap to do any content.
2743 IO ret pal. Trying to get into 12s. Two weeks and denied by all. 629.50 ivl. Can not get in. This game is a catch 22. You ha very higher IO than me but have not run a 12 Declined. 15:5816:02
I started my own group for a dawnbreaker M0. i watched quazzis video guide for it. I felt pretty comfortable with being able to get through it. We wiped four times on the first boss and i had to replace group members three times. After the last wipe everyone left. pugging is miserable. and I can't ever seem to find people I can play with consistently. If i can't push the highlest level gear through M+, and since I have no desire to raid, kinda feels like there's no point in playing wow. I wish they would make 0's doable through group finder. people need to be able to learn mechanics. mythic 0 no longer offers any sort of gear upgrade for anyone since delves so i don't see why it would be a problem.
okay raiding has never been easier so i used to be m+ only now im raiding more then m+ this season becuase raiding even mythic is easier then doing a 10.
Had no trouble at m0’s. Maybe just bad luck. Also quaziis routes and pulls may not be best to 0-5 range where people cant play. Just do straight forward modest pulls. It kinda gets easier when you climb and can find more competent people. I’ve pugged 2 chats to 2k rating, as dps and a first time tanking. Its doable.
There’s a lot of variables there but I recently leveled an alt and did m0s literally the second I got my character to max level. Like I mean I had leveling greens, not even greens from the AH. (Played a DK because it’s so absurd rn). Anyway those keys went perfect, I full cleared 8/8 M0 keys and then started to do +7s so, it’s definitely most likely you either didn’t invite people that had some amount of score or who were just playing horrendously bad. Those dungeons should be doable and you should try to get back out there. Let me know if you need a friend to help too, I can join you on some keys if you like on my main. Gl!
Like mentioned in earlier comments on videos, you should invite OneAzeroth TV to your podcast, one of the highest pug tanks I know, and been sustainable in many expansions. Growl/Yumy even have a video with him, he is the guy with spreadsheets for every single key he has done, fail or timed, disband or completion, I think that would be a really cool episode to have!! check him out :)

how I broke into better keys. I stopped trying to do my own keys as Survival and getting people who couldn't even complete a 4, and geared up a Rsham to 590 and was pushing 8s the next day at ilvl 600. My shaman surprassed my hunter's IO in 3 days when I have been min maxing said hunter as much as I could since day 1.
As a pug player I kinda agree. I really wish to push very high just to see that I can but the stress and toxicity involved to get past 12 for no additional rewards doesn't help.
@nickv3085 you can call it progression but it's only your personal challenge. You get 0 benefit unless you're competing in the MDI. There's no better gear. You've already beaten the dungeon. Killed the bosses, learned the strats. Now it's just mastering it on harder levels. I wouldn't call it progression but most people are confused these days.
@@stelthy3450 and if you PUG you have to deal with the toxicity. Starting at +11-12 I've seen a lot more toxicity than previous tiers (except the really low ones where it's a clown fiesta)
this is the worst m+ season ever. every key i go in thinking we are not timing. ive never thought like that before and its un fun and un healthly. this is the 1st season since i strted playing in bfa that ive found raiding funner and easier then keys. killed my 1st mythic bosses this tier and havent even done a key higher then a 10. myhtic raid is easier then 10's by a long shot. we have player barely 1600 io with us killing these bosses. clearly they fucked mythic + up. all these nerfs and changes really, havent made the dungeons any better. mythic + anxiety is at an all time high.
I'm giving up on this m+ season. Low keys used to be a mild challenge with descent rewards. Now it's just a terrible time with rewards i can get sleepwalking some delves. Worst season ever. Everyone in the grp now has to perform like mdi sweatlords to time a +4.

It's like walking into a hurricane. Pure chaos at first then you hit the eye (mid-upper dungeons), then more controlled-ish chaos on the other side.
