we just bought a 5h and had a rake made for brigalow regrowth tidy ups. she looks good in that stuff so makes me feel much more confidant..6's and 7's are too hard to find or at crazy prices now. funny thing is we have a 4.5t yanmar digger too..
I was being hesitant at first but this video just got me convinced I'm going to bu a 1968 d5 cat for 30k to clear my land in Louisiana the terrain looks exactly like this
Well, a 1968 D5 would be a significantly smaller and less powerful machine than this but still very capable. Make sure you have a decent mechanical background going into the purchase or plan on letting your local dealer lighten your pocket book on any and every repair.
Easy scrub clearing ,,what about all the stumps still in the ground ,,maybe get a rake for the D 5 or a big Rome disc to plow it ,, i use strictly a. C frame cat d 7 with a heavy rake one pass you done
Man that is so fun watching that ol cat working. Them trees are no match for her haha
Good little machines there! I do like these older Cats.
@@Landspecialistsllc a beast for sure. It could easily crush the new ones haha
Until the undercarriage goes out then it costs you a fortune to fix
