Thank you so much for this very interesting and beautiful tour of this botanical garden and museum . It is so good to hear your voice again . I was thinking about Ms. Phyllis the other day and remembered how watching and listening to her while she made some of my favorite dishes . I'will go back and see many videos I must have missed that you have made. Definitely make sure I'm subscribed .😇🙏💕
Hi Stephen, what a great place to visit, so interesting. Oh my the stature of the very large snake, yikes ! Beautiful background music, so calming as we move along. I don't blame you all for watching that alligator as you passed by, very sensible.🐊 Thank you for the tour, i love seeing another part of your homeland.😊❤xo
Nothing to compare with the snakes and crocs y'all have there, June. Never heard of a place with more things in nature designed to kill you than Australia! LOL!
@@PhyllisStokes I'm sure a trip to Australia Zoo at Buderim in Qld would be a real eye opener for yourself and the family. Yes, we do have a few little and big critters to watch out for.😅
What a beautiful peaceful place. If you steer clear of the alligators, that is. :-) I'm familiar with Cypress Gardens in Florida, but never knew there was one in South Carolina. Glad you enjoyed some family time together, and thank you for your bravery in getting between the gator and your ladies!
Hi Col. Stephen, thanks for the tour of such a lush place! Am totally afraid of alligators! A small one escaped from an Alligator Farm by Knotts Berry Farm in CA, and my brother kept it as a pet for awhile. It hissed everytime anyone came near it! Open-mouthed. Ready to chomp! Scary! What was God thinking when He made gators?! Nice to see the birds and koi, thank you! God bless you and your wonderful family. Miss JJ & Service Dog Miss Ruthie😊🐕🦺🙏✝️🇺🇲
Enjoyed the video Would t want to come upon an alligator during the walk. Once when I was in Fla Came up on one sun I g himself. He was too lazy in the sun to try to get us- lol
I’m so glad you and your ladies were able to enjoy Cypress Gardens. I’ve been there many times-all my years working in kindergarten. We’re only about 45 miles away. You should experience it with a school bus full of 5 and 6 year olds! 😊. Yes, the butterfly house is special. I think we usually went in April and there were so so many butterflies. Also, being it was an educational event for us, we had guides. I wish everyone could experience it with a guide-you learn ALOT about the park. They also took us through the swamp in the boats. I’m happy I got to experience it.
Thank you Steve for this tour. Being a South Carolina citizen myself I have never been to this beautiful place you have shown us in this video. Would love to visit though. Only a few hours from me. Who knows, maybe one day 😊 Thanks again! Stay safe friend 🙏❤
Thanks for the tour was very nice now but the gators is another story really scary but really nice scenery to see .. Music was an added plus.. God Bless all and stay safe,, Love form Kansas🥰
I’m in Summerville. Our neighborhood is near a lot of wetlands, home of alligators. We have a lot of man-made ponds and recently, at least one alligator has been going from pond to pond. One was seen going down the Main Street around midnight. They can run fast, so be careful! Ducks have young ones and are in the ponds too, so it’s concerning to us. The wetlands aren’t as swampy now with all the building, so they are everywhere.
I've wondered at what point will animal control come out and move a gator. How big does it need to be? It's a little off putting walking around the neighborhood and seeing them sunning themselves in someone's backyard!
Sara, I just used the canned music from IMovie for this. At 3:00, it's "Newborn." At 4:45 is "Watercolor". At 6:50 is "Lazy Day." At 7:15 is "Piano Ballad." The intro and exit tune was "Half Moon Bay."

What a beautiful place to spend the day. Thanks for making us a part of your outing
Any time!
Beautiful nature walk and lovely, relaxing music. Your narrative was enjoyable. God bless you and your family. ❤
Beautiful tour! No alligators for me and I was raised most of my life in Florida. Enjoyed the music too. Thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it. I also am not a fan of gators....

So glad to see you had some time to be with family. Take care and God's Blessings Sir. Thanks for sharing.
Thx for doing this, filming it and sharing it with us.
You are very welcome!
Thanks for the video. I enjoyed seeing the gardens. Not so much the alligator. 😮
Yeah, I'm not a big fan of gators either.
Thank you. I love Charleston. Go every chance I get.
Steve your photography is excellent. Thanks for sharing that beautiful place. Your Mom would approve ❤.
I did not know that there is a Cypress Gardens in Charleston. Really nice place. Thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for taking us along. Would like to go in person, but since my husband passed I’m not sure I’ll be taking long trips alone.

I imagine there (quickly) came a point when your folks told your brother "enough" with the pet! LOL! Yeah, not a fan of the gators.
@@PhyllisStokesyou are SO Right! Our mom quickly code for a moratorium on alligator pets LOL
The Low Lands! I loved living there! Thank you, Colonel!❤️🌴🐊🦆🦞🪷
Our pleasure!
Thank you for the awesome tour! I've never been to that part of the country! I don't care to see any alligators!! Not on my plate either! 🤐
Beautiful place. But oh so scary getting close to the alligators.🐊 Lol Thanks so much for sharing this. God bless!
Can't handle the southern heat, so this come-along video was a treat - so swampy and all. Thanks.
It was warm and not humid at all that day. Really pleasant. Now, today....that's a different story.

You never lost any of them to gators, did you? LOL! I remember taking high school kids on field trips. It was like herding cats.
@@PhyllisStokes herding cats is exactly what it’s like 🤣. No we never lost any 🙌🏻🙌🏻

It would be a great day trip, Wendy. Go in the spring when the Azealia's are blooming.
I love Charleston

You were brave walking on the path where the alligator was. I won’t go anywhere there might be alligators.
So different from the landscape up here in the north.
Thank you. The only time I like gator is deep fried on my plate.
...or wrapped around my feet in boot form!
How is your captain training going?
