is the only thing different about this model and the Supermax 19-38 Drum Sander 3 inches sanding width?

The 1632 also has integrated digital readout as well as the quick raise/lower mechanism. The 1938 has more power.

No problem. That quick raise mechanism is the bomb. Wish my planer, table saw and bandsaw all had that.
