The smell of old pine being worked on reminds me of my Dad's old workshop. Sadly he's been gone over 16 years now and I didn't start any woodwork until after :( But I kinda think of it like passed the torch on to me when he went rather than letting me get too upset about it. Sorry, dunno where that sudden moment of vulnerability came from. Smell is a very evocative thing!
Never apologise for being vulnerable, it takes extraordinary strength to be open and honest. It enables us to work through difficult things and may also help someone else in a similar situation. 🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing. I've been wanting to make a Telecaster style body with only hand tools. Your techniques around the horns showed me how I might accomplish that part.
I really do enjoy your builds and look forward to watching them. I've learned quite a few techniques from watching your videos and use them all of the time on my own bass builds.
As the resident Bass VI player on the chat (or at least one of 'em) I'm thoroughly enjoying this build- and I'm loving the design of the body. The longer upper horn will certainly help counter any neck dive you may encounter. What is the pew wood? You mentioned pine, is that the case?

It’s the only sense that has a direct unfiltered link to the brain.

Everything is possible! 🙌
Seeing that grain appear as you were using the gouge chisels was a thing of beauty. Looking good so far.
Glad you’re enjoying it! 🙌

Yes, I believe it’s known as pitch pine. Very old, long grown pine, not the stuff from a hardware store 😂
@@KingBespokeCreations ah old pine is well regarded. Early Fender Teles were pine bodies apparently.
Been a minute Chris, hope you and the family are doing alright.
Doing well bud, hope you and yours are ok? Looking forward to forward to these builds!
