To address the obvious, YES this video is a little late, lol. 3 years late to be exact. I stumbled across all the hard drive footage a couple days ago and cut it together for ya. Hopefully you enjoy!
Very cool! Your team has a lot of good ideas. One of the problems I've had with my Sci-fi films is the length of time it takes to build the sets, film in them and also the multiple years of post production to do the space ship animations and composite effects. Space Trucker Bruce took 6 years to make and my current movie is going on 10 years. It looks like you managed to produce a good quality film in a lot less time. Good job!
Holy shit, the Sawmill looks amazing. I have a concept I'm expanding that I'd want to look just like this, and initially I was planning on green screen sets. These look way better!
What wasn't in there, the old distillery?! I think the Old Dam would be more recommended for encounters of the third kind. I guess that year the Cowboys didn't won the Superbowl nonwithstanding Elliott and Prescott. I don't know. Namastè.
I'm so impressed with how you cut the funds. Wau. If you ever want a decent screenplay contact me - I actually write them custom designed and with a low budget in mind - I studied screenwriting, acting, filmmaking and PR so every script is tailored to genre and efficiency. XO
The helmet light source for the actor's face didn't make sense realism-wise in '70s "Battlestar Galactica", and it doesn't now (nobody wants a light blocking their vision in space). Been a 50 year pet peeve of mine...
This was super interesting to watch. You made amazing use of low budget and this turned out so well done :) Really inspirational and picked up a few interesting techniques from this, thank you!
amazing! as an independent film maker, watching this is very inspiring
Thanks, dude!
the practical effects really paid off, making the whole film feel far more realistic

Ok
So to clarify, this wasn't filmed in space?
😂

So creative.
Some of the sun spots would look great with a blue cel put over the hole to create some ambient light.
I think I like practical effects better than computer generated ones. They are more fun to watch the making of. Not to mention cheaper. 😜
factual
such a great behind the scenes video
❤️❤️

Well done.
I think that I'll look to buy an old industrial park in the Rust Belt to rent out as movie sets... ;-P

Not really low budget if you filmed in space, not everyone can afford to buy a rocket.
how to make a low budget mobie: have a super cool abandoned building right next to you
I think you might have missed the point of the video, my friend 😃😂
Hey, my film kids and I enjoyed this much. Love it personally.
I was done at "There was an actual rib cage, on the floor..." Wow. lol
This place should be the location for future movies
