I think its more like the general public exepcts everything to be immediately understandable or else it must be bad. Wich makes people bigoted and then actually makes exploring hurtful and makes the thing bad. Because the general public doesnt take the time to doubt the things they know. And that again leads to discrimination and the cycle continues. Just give people the benefit of the doubt and the autonomy they need to express themselves and you literally dont need to see that problem anymore. But yes, negativity sells TLDR
I don’t hate this fandom, I do feel lonely when it comes to trying/making friends in this fandom but I overall love this fandom and how different and cool the fursonas/fursuits are. I love how creative people can be in the fandom.
I'm new to the community and nervous to post anywhere due to all the dramas I see all the time... but this video made me realize the drama is probably a lot smaller and isolated than what I have been thinking. Thank you for this, I look forward to meeting the wholesome community

I get you I’ve been to a bunch of cons but no one would talk to me too. I always put in effort to talking to people but apparently no one wants to talk to me. Con in general feel isolated, seeing people talking to their own friends and you are just alone at a con.
So before I begin this storytelling, let me give you a bit of context. I'm the drill captain for a JROTC Academy in Florida. I am furry, and oftentimes, I am chosen to represent my school because of it. I really try to inspire others and try to stand as a representation that furries can do stuff like this, I've had some people come up to me and say "Can you teach me how to March and hold a drill rifle properly" I've even taken someone under my wing when they needed help, and still continue to be their mentor. So let me be an example of what's possible for furries, you can do whatever you want. You just need to be able to make the effort.
