The Balrog Durin’s bane isn’t for a “sacrifice deck”, it’s for a treasure deck. Treasures count as 2 mana toward it. If you have 3 land and 2 treasures you can send a 7/5 haste in. And it doesn’t even have to be in a red black deck.
30:29 no, Bombadil wasn’t in the movies not even in the extended edition. IMO I appreciated this choice ‘cause you need at least 15-20 mins to add Tom in the movie, and is not relevant to the plot (apart for the “legendary” Swords given to the Hobbits, that can hurt a Nazgûl 😅). Tom Bombadil is probably the only creature that has not a sure kind or genesis. Someone theorized that he’s Eru The Creator or Tolkien himself, but probably the most realistic is what Tolkien said in an interview: “Tom simply represents the preservation of nature against the coming of industry and pollution”
Honestly, I thought it was pronounced that way until I heard a character in a show say "Deus Ex Machina" the proper way, and I think it was in a Simpsons episode.
The reason why Samwise Gamgee is broken is because you can keep cauldron familiar in your graveyard and fetch all combo pieces with collected company at instant speed. IMHO such deck will certainly break Historic(where Golgari Food was already quite strong) and I wouldn't be surprised if it appears even in Modern.
Bilbo life gain decks getting 9 nazguls in a couple turns is gonna be insane. Imagine, you have bilbo, exile him with the ability, and you only choose 9 creatures, your opponent thinks "is that it" than you slam 9 nazguls down, a bunch of triggers go off, and at the end your opponent sees a 10/11, 18/19, 25/26, 31/32, 36/37, 40/41, 43/44, 45/46 and a 46/47, even more insane if you have a panharmonicon style card in play beforehand.
eh, overkill tbh. Sacrificing 1/7th of your non-land cards to creatures irrelevant to lifegain is going to make getting to 111 life much harder and more inconsistent. Plus, by that point, you'll have a couple in your hand, so you'd only bring out a few of them. Just filling your deck with decent creatures that interact positively with lifegain is probably the way to go. A handful of creatures that hurt your opponents when you gain life and a bunch of creatures that gain you life would win the game handily
@@randomperson5579 How did you get 46/47? I think that if you have 9 Nazguls enter at the same time, you'd get 9 ring tempts, so all 9 Nazguls would get 9 triggers each, and you'd end up with all of them getting 81 +1/+1 counters, so they'd all be 82/83, if I did the math right.
@@SomeGuy712x yeah i realised my mistake a few days after, I was assuming they entered one after the other, which would be 1+2+3+4+5+6+7+8+9, I don't play a lot of magic as you can tell.
I know you were just joking when you said that you liked the engagement from people correcting your pronunciation but I wouldn't even joke about that, it's a tactic that a lot of scummy creators actually use and people absolutely hate it. The dumbest part is that the tactic is only beneficial if your target audience is children/uneducated, otherwise it is at best just a temporary boost that quickly stops being tolerated by the kind of audience members you actually want and then before you know it the community becomes toxic and hateful and everything kind of self destructs.
I interpreted it more as him deciding not to concern himself too much with finding the exact right pronunciation, which makes sense both from a showrunning perspective (not trying to derail the stream) and from a mental health perspective (people pronounce things differently, no reason to stress oneself over it). 🤷♂️
Just starting the vid. Why are halflings a creature type not hobbit. Just funny as DND used halfling to avoid hobbit copyright and it has now come full circle (like a ring?)
You can't blink the one ring, but hypothetically you could infinitely cast it (like with Emry, Lurker of the Loch). Dunno how viable that would be, but it is technically possible
@@Debatra. Cause the effect you would want to blink it for is an on cast effect, meaning the fog-like effect won't happen unless you recast it. If you want to you can blink it sure, but all you'd be doing is resetting it's counters

While I don't think WotC should have made him black, it doesn't matter. It has no affect on the lore or story. Also, you realize the term "black numenoreans" has nothing to do with their skin color?

“It danger!”
“That’s not that bad!”
“That’s broken!!”
