The Côte d’Ivoire Rapid & Blitz is the 1st stage of the 2019 Grand Chess Tour, with World Champion Magnus Carlsen heading a 10-player field that features 7 tour regulars and wild cards Wei Yi, Veselin Topalov and Bassem Amin. The event takes place in the Pullman Abidjan Hotel in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from May 8-12 and has a $150,000 prize fund.
The rapid section is a single round-robin with 3 rounds each day on the first 3 days. The time control is 25 minutes for all moves and a 10-second delay from move 1. The final 2 days are a blitz double round-robin, with 18 rounds of 5 minutes + 3-second delay blitz. Rapid games count double, with 2 points for a win and 1 for a draw.

He's probably the most popular chess TH-camr in the world by a comfortable margin. I started watching his videos back in last December when he was just under 300k subscribers. I subbed at around 310k and it's getting by another 100k in the last 6 months. He's gotten a lot better and more comfortable with his presentation in the past year or so if you compare to some of his earlier videos where he was a little more stiff. I enjoy his daily videos and he's very deserving of a sub imo.

After white knight captures rook on c3 and bishop challenges the white rook from c4.. best move was knight to d5 instead of d1. Now the rook cannot be captured as its the royal fork by capturing bishop on e7. And if the knight at d5 is taken by the dark Knight. Simply pawn captures to put a tempo on black queen! And thats how it'll be a double rook vs double bishop.. and that'll be completely winning for while... #agadmator please reply to this comment...

Lol I’ve competed in three state championships before, and whenever I play I just try to remember the lines in all of Agadmators’ vids. And believe it or not, that strategy helped me defeat countless 1900-2400 players

Why is the nidorf defence good? It seems kindve odd. I’d love a video about good openings and when to use them.

“That’s how you do it”. Thanks, I’ll keep it in mind for next time I face the champ.... :) Seriously, I always do my best to exchange sacrifice my queenside rook in the Najdorf. It’s a matter of style, if the opportunity presents itself, take it.
