I loved this video man! for $240 I'm definitely buying one of these! Don't worry about that dome thermometer. Those things are less than useless on any grill. I'm glad you didn't put a heat deflector on, because I guarantee that the vapor coming from the drippings hitting the coals made that meat even MORE flavorful!
Glad to see you liked it and got some value out of it. Honestly I was pretty impressed with this little guy. I’m still feeling that a Heat Deflection Stone should be on it, this would prevent the little amount of coals used from getting soaked and dying out and maybe a smaller amount of dripping would reach the coals still adding to great flavor? It’s something I’m going to play with at any rate. Thanks for watching! 😎🥩♨️👍
Hey mate! I have a couple of suggestions I picked up from this video that would help the flow feel more natural. Strictly constructive, not trying to tear you down! With that said I love your videos; You've nailed 'you just being you'. Fun facts was great addition and the inclusion of you exploring the temps based on the openings will save time for those who get this and provides a good reference point for those looking to compare :D Constructive Points: 1. Paraphrase the features section. 11:00 -> 14:00 felt more like a charismatic read of the box rather than any impressions or own thoughts/feelings. I understand hitting the feature list is required by L.S but you can put your own spin on it after you've used it, integrate them throughout the video alongside your own opinions rather than lumped together. 2. The detailed look (2:00 -> 5:00) was 3 minutes, while its good to see the unit in detail it could have been cut to 1 minute. 3. May be a L.S requirement but say the full name 1-2 times at the start then use a shorthand / nickname for the product moving forward, feels more natural. Again, the above comes from love not hate, keep up the great work buddy!
Thank you so much for the constructive criticism. I’m happy to see you enjoy the videos. Sometimes you can plan things out better in a Video once you have used the items a few times and then it’s more natural. This was an unboxing and first use video so I had to block it all together in sections and imagined viewers would just Fast Forward if desired. I was after a more “Viewer Experiencing it with me for 1st time” type of a thing. I will for sure take things pointed out into my thought process for next Product Video and do a more, “I have been using this for a bit and…” approach. Thanks again and Good Grilling! 😎🥩♨️👍
I’ve already got a Weber Kettle and Smokey Mountain. This little kamado looks like it would be great to cook one or two burgers or chops hot and fast with a minimal amount of charcoal, or reheat chicken that was smoked the day before. How well does it snuff out any remaining charcoal so you only use what you need for a short grilling session and save the charcoal for the next cook? Can you grill hot and fast with the small amount of charcoal you used for that initial burn in, because if it can then that is a real charcoal miser.
I have only cooked three cooks with this little 13 inch Kamado but cutting oxygen to it after a cook to preserve coals for another cook is extremely easy! Yes, it is ideal for cooks geared towards one or two people …. Or as you said, to reheat proteins easily. You will find controlling temps is very easy with this. I think this is ideal for a couple or a single person. 3-5 people something bigger would be better I feel.
I placed this unit on order through your link. I like to do frequent small cooks on my kettle but I cringe when I see how much charcoal I use. I should be able to eventually make up in charcoal what this unit costs.
The Amazon special In my honest review and opinion the fire pot seems like it’s very very loose same as the grill has a lot of space too move ‘ go ahead and put a can of bean on there and throw on a steak . If you’re not careful when you flip that stake and that grill moves you’re gonna spill your can of beans . learned from experience using this grill ‘ also I’ve noticed to the temperature gauge seems to be 35 to 40 Celsius out so it’s hotter than what the temperature gauge says it’s just an Amazon special that’s over priced
Honestly I really like these Kamado grills. Yeah I had an issue with the Included Temp gauge but for me it doesn’t matter as I use Very High Quality Probe Thermometers. Everything else about these grills was a much higher quality than I expected for the price. I would just recommend getting a heat deflector as it’s not included but expected at the selling price. Thanks for sharing your input. 😎🥩♨️👍
Sooo great!!! Love it! Your videos are fantastic 🥰👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
