The ship is called the Ever Given, not the Evergreen. Evergreen is the company that owns it. Also, this is the northern canal route closer to the Mediterranean and the ship got stuck in the southern part near the Red Sea.

Suez canal is in Egypt which doesn't mean it was built by Egyptians. Learn history, it was built by British and French jointly. Initially the labour force was from Egypt obviously, they used hands, showels etc. but didn't seem to work and they even quit the job saying it is not possible to make such a canal. Then the British and French engineers came up with the ingenious idea of watering and pumping sand using sea water and the work was successfully completed. This is the true story of the Egyptians part in Suez canal construction. 😂
