My PGWP is expiring in Aug 2023 due to passport expiry and by right I should get another 2 years as I did 2 year program in Canada. My doubt is now filing the questionaire , what should I choose for"current immigration status" student or worker. Student is someone who holds valid study permit, mine expired in last december Worker is someone who holds valid work permit, mine is going to expire in aug 2023 - So I beleive I should choose this option. But as per your video, we have to follow everything when we apply for PGWP first time. if so do we need to pay again 250 dollars for renewal of PGWP due to passport expiry ? Please confirm.or can I choose worker option and continue to extend work permit with no fees?

No, it is not, it is only supporting document. As long as you don’t actually have any specific case or situation then you don’t need to add a file for client information. 😉

Hi dear, this is a good question. I asked IRCC about this and planning to share this actually. To be eligible for the new policy, you must reside in Canada, ensure your address is up-to-date, confirm your passport has an expiration date of June 2025 or later. What you choose to do is up to you. If you are eligible, you may apply for the 18-month work permit under this new public policy: www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/news/2023/03/canada-announces-extension-of-post-graduation-work-permits-for-up-to-18-months-to-retain-high-skilled-talent.html If you choose to apply, they recommend withdrawing your other application first. You do not have to wait until you receive a confirmation of withdrawal before applying under the new public policy. Goodluck! 👍

If until now there’s no response from them you should try to contact IRCC Call Centre 1-888-242-2100 within Canada only Mon-Fri 8am-4pm except for statutory holidays.

Hi dear! You mean you received the submission confirmation? Yes that is the first one. Then the next letter you will receive after that should be a letter that will tell you that your application has been received and will tell you that you can work at any employer in any occupation until decision has been made. Maybe give them a day and they should sent you the second letter. ☺️
