It depends on the application. The Powermatic has a 5 hp motor while the Harvey's motor is 3 hp. The more powerful Powermatic is better for heavy duty jobs. We purchased the Harvey because it has a smaller footprint and we only had so much space available for a fourth table saw. It was also less expensive. It has been a good saw so far so we are happy with out decision.
I have a Harvey, trying to figure out using the fence with attachments. Could you show the completed piece you added to the fence for adding the dados?
Cute little shop!
Thanks - good video!
That’s one hell of a shop!
Thank you.
Nice presentation. Thanks
Very nice video, I have a question, which saw run smoother? Which saw would you buy again the powermatic or the Harvey?

Is the Harvey table saw smooth as the powermatic?

Sorry for the late reply. We do not use dado blades on our Harvey table saw. We have three Powermatic PM2000 table saws for dado cuts.
I HAVE HAD MY harvey sawbench for about 10 months. Is it supposed to vibrate when coming to a stop?
Tighten the belt using the motor tensioning bolt
Do you have any issues with deflection with the fence? I would love to have the big eye fence but damn it’s expensive.
None so far
Where did you get the extended table at the rear of your saw. I could use a larger one other rather than the one I got from Harvey.
We built it in our shop.
