I love how absolutely DONE the queen sounds after the whole "we were supposed to be paying taxes" incident
Always loved the personalities of the characters in Bug Fables and this shows why. All the character's personalities can be expanded on so much for such unique interactions in many scenarios. This video came out incredibly and was very funny, one of my favorite Bug Fables videos on TH-cam!

We need a whole series of this, the jokes in this are hilarious. Reminds me of an old SpongeBob episode with the slower, more grounded writing, while ultimately being genius.

"Short"? This was so incredibly long for such an obscure game, it's hilarious. This gets a sub from me, the dedication is so unreal.
For what you call a SHORT, this is nothing less than absolutely what I would expected if in some magical way a Bug Fables show was made. You manage to really, hit it home with the work on the VA work for both Stratos and Deliliah and the little snippets of music, the good jokes and the nice pacing of everything was really splendid. You easily could have just re-hashed a part of the game for this story, but you really took some stride to show something new and fun. I can honestly say I really like Stratos and Delilah that much more and even the lazy mannerism of Deliliah makes her wonderfully adorable. What I'm trying to say it, superb animation, superb sprite work and superb bugs in every part of this video. A righteous hats off to you Jocobo for making all of this happen. *applauses and whistles too*
PS - I love Stratos' silly but genuinely good heart you give him. The work on him and Delilah both here really make me think they're real friends. That's some darn good stuff if you ask me. ^-^
if someone asked me why i made this short "to raise team slacker awareness" would be number one but getting this exact comment is a very close second. tysm dude, im super glad you enjoyed it!
@@Jocobo you should really make a sequel called "team slacker gets into spy cards" where stratos and delilah travel around bugaria battling various enemies to collect their spy data and eventually get into the tournament on metal island. they could even battle team snakemouth in the final round! this could also be a big multi part series if you wanna have them fight all the bosses and mid bosses! (or they could just run away from them all after obtaining their spy data because they're scaredy cats or just that lazy)

funny you mention spy cards bc i actually *did* get around to writing a spy cards focused sequel to this video (the house of spy cards thing i mentioned in another reply). unfortunately, i highly doubt ill ever be able to make it an actual animation, it ended up being way more ambitious than i expected. would be glad to hand the screenplay over to anyone who feels they're up to the task tho 👀

ok SO as soon as this short went into post production i already had like 8 ideas about what id do if i could make another one. my favorite one would actually star team snakemouth and have a plot about spy cards. it would be called House of Spy Cards.
but the thing is i doubt i would ever be able to actually make those shorts, at least not in video form. tsgf took 6 months to make, and that was *with* production going as fast as possible since i made it during a rare stretch of my life where i had a significant amount of free time. but now things are starting to get busy again, so by the time id finish a second one bug fables 2 would be out.

I love this how long did it take you to make this passion product
i started production in february. writing took 2-3 months, mostly bc i only had time to work on the script during the few hours of downtime i had each day on my commutes.
i knew my summer was going to be busy so i used every drop of free time i *did* have working on the visuals. i completed the script at the end of april and started producing the assets and powerpointvision for another 2 months. i only began to recruit vas after finishing the powerpoint in june so i could be sure id actually be able to release the short before asking anyone to volunteer for it. recruitment, video/audio editing, and line recording occurred concurrently for a month before the short was released.
so, if you do the math, production took about 6 months. thankfully, while it was inherently time consuming, production otherwise went extremely smoothly, in no small part due to the amazing talent and passion of the vas. there's still quite a lot of things id change if i didn't have that self-imposed deadline but hey. one of my inspirations was trashy primetime sitcoms. and trashy primetime sitcoms are also mired by tight schedules y'know
