Sharon Bryant as well. Barbara was a great choice to step in after Sharon left the group. But Sharon will always be the sound of Atlantic Starr, When Love calls is the ultimate classic!!. Great memories!!.
@roberterniso5475 Yes! Sharon was my favorite. Her vocals on When Love Calls,Am I Dreaming, Circles, Touch A Four Leaf Clover, You're The One, It's My Turn Now. Her voice was so soulful. Barbara did a great job with them,too. I would like the reunion to both ladies.

I loved loved Atlantic Starr back in the days. Their music was the soundtrack for my life. Every song was a hit. The lyrics really resonated and the vocals, amazing. I hope they’re doing well!!!

I was 22 at this time, July 1986 and so was Barbara. I had just been honorably discharged from the Navy one month earlier. I had no idea I was the same age as Barbara. She was so talented, I thought she was much older than myself
Saw Atlantic Starr back in the early early 80's when there was at least 10 of them on stage Sharon Bryant was the lead singer opened for Jeffrey Osborne. Did a great job they where pretty good.

I know a lot of AS fans love Sharon...Sharon was very talented but I loved Barbara and she was magical with AS! She had a pretty voice and is gorgeous! I would love a reunion video or interview with the ORIGINAL members but I don’t think that will happen.

Veterans Stadium, along with Atlantic Star, was New Edition, Patti Labelle, and Luther Vandross. I know there were a couple of more acts, but these are the only ones I remember. I had a huge crush on Barbara Weathers.

I can't believe Wayne Lewis just turned 60 this past April and Ms. Weathers will turn 54 this coming November, also David will be 59 in September, and I think Jonathan's birthday is in September also, not sure what his age is!!

You can tell they were lovers, but it was over by this time!
I find that interesting: Because unless I'm mistaken, this interview is done in Summer 1986, which I would assume before they recorded The following year's LP "All In The Name Of Love" in 1987. I think their relationship ended in late 1987 after they finished touring. She had no money and left the group. By April 1989, Porche Martin replaced her, but it wasn't the same. Still Love AS!

Actually they were engaged. She and Wayne Lewis's brother David Lewis (who sung the duets with her) bumped heads out of jealousy and Barbara left the band
