Hello Sarthak Sir,
I have a question,
Many a times bankers requires a Chartered Accountant to certify of certain financial information of the client such as,
- status of unsecured loans
- cost infused in any project
- the shareholding pattern of the client
- no due certificates and etc.,
A CA certifies the aforementioned financial information by also quoting a UDIN and ultimately gives comfort to the bankers for disbursing the financial assistance reqd.
My question is,
1. Is this an assurance engagement (since he is giving an opinion by way of certification)
2. If not an assurance engagement, does this also gets covered under SRS 4410.
Please let me know or anyone in this comment section are welcome.

It is a certification engagement in itself to certify facts and may not be as it is covered under any specific Standards though relevant standards applications may be used with requisite modifications required
