Yes that’s Randy Jackson. He has played bass for Mariah’s tours and live performances pretty much since the early 90’s and it’s a long time friend. He has also been her musical director at times.

Her voice was just "out of this world" amazing. I don't think people realize how difficult it is to sing this way and make it sound good. Favourite singer ever and I don't really listen to this genre of music, but I can listen to her all day.
