My Dearest ol' friend,, Rayne Swan had just passed on Oct 31, 2017 just a few mths before... ...& I'm still reeling from the reality of the loss of him here in late 2023... ...& Jimmy & his Cosmic group of troubadours enabled me to forever immmorialize my old pal Rayne, likely the most compersive soul I've ever known, who originated from the Tatamagouche shores of this here Nova Scotia. ... Wow. Just wow. I've loved this song since the first time I heard it. I think we can all relate to the beautiful lyrics; I know I certainly can. And Jim's voice on this is just amazing. And as far as the video goes: the stark black and white contrasted with the emotion in Jim's eyes, the orchestral hand movements, the soaring panoramic vistas - all perfection. This is incredible.

I never heard of this guy or his mate or Blue Rodeo before tonight. Stumbled onto them by way of being happy Kathleen Edwards is making music again and with TH-cam and the internet being what they are taking an interest in her "just a guitar player, then her husband, then she's off to create a coffee shop, and they're divorced, but now she's back and he's her guitar player again" guitar player Colin Cripps, (who's amazing), and that led me down a whole road of discovery... and to the realization that my damn Canadian friends ... and I have more than a few... have been holding out on me!!!! 😡🤣
