I feel like the videogame does help a lot with game understanding, recognizing names and such. I got my first FC game in like 12 years and seeing the playstyles on KDB you realize the good job they did with representing his playmaking IRL. He has golden through balls and pretty much all the playstyles related to passing lol (long ball pass, whipped pass, trivela, pinged pass, set piece) Ps you are right that passers don't get as much recognition as others. In the past like 10-15 years i'd say its been a lot better tho, but before, people didn't even keep track of it as a relevant stat. Most of the individual awards go to strikers, wingers and central attacking midfielders. And lets not even go even further down the field to defense and goalkeepers. If you ever wanna expand on some other good passers of the past like 25 years, some names: Xavi, Andrea Pirlo, Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard, Tony Kroos, Luka Modric, Xabi Alonso, David Beckham, Zidane. Earlier names from last century: Rivelino, Valderrama, Zico, Platini, Maradona, come to mind. Some of these names you can see in the Soccer AID 11 on fifa as well
