- We go to a Public Auto Auto Auction to see what current car prices are bidding up to. We looked at a charger, Chevy Colorado, jeep Cherokee and Chrysler 300 and even a custom 90s Chevy pickup truck
People are sick of wasting their time going to the auctions when the reserves are too high anyway. All that bidding and nothing to show for it.
Yes many things didn't get the reserve, but at some places you can make an offer after and they'll go back to the seller with it.
Agreed, its not an action if you win then they just say no and if they have that ability and say yes, then you know you overpaid.
i gave up on auctions years ago. stupid prices and you cant even drive the car.
There should be no reserves at auctions if it goes.for 100 dollars that's what it should sell for
@@trapps75 right. I went to one of those public auctions years ago and they were starting the bids high and going down. Bids should start at 100 and go up from there. It's a scam

these "cheap" cars are crashing the worst, dealers can't get people financed affordably. rates are too high, and the people who buy these sorts of cars depend on financing the most.
Rates & prices are inflated way to high in my opinion, pricing people out of the market even with excellent credit. BTW thank you so much for watching the video and hope to see you back!
120K low mileage these days when I was a kid it was 20 K hahaha love the Show 🤩
There were a few good sought after vehicles but most of them were lemon garbage.

Listen for ticking sound before buying 3.6 Pentastar. Cylinder head replacement issues. Check Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram forums before buying. Expensive.
Yes, many have that issue.... knock on wood the one in our 2013 black top edition journey has not. Just did the plastic thermostat housing though, horrible idea to use plastic! Lol. Thanks for checking out the channel and hope to catch you on the upcoming videos!
When i bought my 2008 tumdra 4 years ago ALL the frds chvz and dudges had engine light on! I drove cars to auction for a local dealer AFTER they reset fault codes

It does consume oil because it has a Toyota Camry engine but other than that I strongly recommend the 2009-10 Pontiac Vibe GT (feels like a minivan but drives like a sports car) if you can find one it's just like the Toyota Matrix (different body style) & the Scion XB. Parts are cheap and if maintained will last a long time.

Their are no buyers at the auction because nobody is buying vehicles. They all sold a boat load of them over the past couple of years and at huge profits per unit sold.

Yes they had some Kias and other random stuff to.... just was not sure if anybody would be interested in having those included in the video. But I'm happy to try next time if people want to see Hondas, kias etc.

MY god some of these owners drove 300-400 miles a WEEK. What do they do for a living where a car hits 120,000 miles in less than five years?

i put 212k miles on a car back in my school days. id go to florida once a week. gone thursday back monday. i did this for years. atop exploring everywhere else. gas was cheap. tires were cheap. hell tickets were cheap too (lol). was young and could pull 14 - 20 hours driving at once. now i have to lay over like old man. but thats how. its easy to rack up miles
They probably travel from state to state back to back for work, family or the least likely illegal activities lol
@@redhunnid5142 Also forgot, maybe to visit a secret lover! Heard of such a story in my state. The guy kept driving between two states to see his mistress. Then as luck had it, he crashed on the highway and died. That's when the mistress tried to claim on his estate. Fortunately, the court sided with the widow and the mistress got nothing.

A friend sold one with little over 200k and still running strong. Just the body was rusting out due to NY salt, but they can last.
It's all domestic junk, except tundra.

@@TheCJWestShow kinda like this anyone withing a hundred miles auctions un Tampa or orlando ..i don't go to Orlando. Not like when i lived in Illinois there was a auction of sorts in every small town . Here they sell homes before the slab is dry . Cars they trade every other tax season . Most put 100k on a car before they get rid of it and most put 50 k per year . It's like the same 100 cars drive back and worth infront of my shop every day all day . They claim to be bróke but they have money for gas. Or the casino and wall mart but otherwise they can't rub 2 niveles together . Thats why i got out of auto repairs couse the need their car tomarrow but tomarrow comes and they can't pay the bill thinking i work for free . Here un Tampa if you want someone to go away let them owe you $10 you'll never see them sgain

That’s not a auto auction that’s a car lot. I go to auction where there is no reserve and everything goes.
It is a repossession, secured creditor auction with some dealer owned vehicles also. Never seen one where every single item sold, that's interesting
@@TheCJWestShow you ever bee to a farm auction? Tractors trucks cars shop tools you name it it all goes. I use to go to car auction in the 80s. This reserve crap is because of eBay. It’s gotten worse with Covid. They don’t even run them trough anymore at Wichita ks public auction. So to me it’s just a car lot.
@@martinp3371 no I haven't yet, but plan to hopefully in the near future as I know they used to have one about an hour away. Just need to find out if they still do, thanks for reminding me about that actually and I'll do a video if I can. Yes you would have the advantage of no rust in Kansas also, heck I'm watching rusted out trucks with over 150k miles run through getting 5 grand or more. It is craziness! @@TheCJWestShow I don’t know where you’re from but any estate auctions is good. Some living auctions are good. Farm or rural consignment are the best. I do frequent house auctions when it’s no buyers fee or taxes. But that stuff usually goes high. I have learned don’t spend all your money at the beginning of an auction the crowed will grow thin and when that happens things go way cheaper. I’m sure you know what you’re doing but you got be careful back bidders and silent. Definitely pay attention to how much the auctioneer is jumping if anyone is reading this don’t be afraid to throw out a number you are happy with lower the better. Have a fun time.
Buy Toyota or Honda .
Nissans are good if you get the right ones and old Fords are reliable too but the newer ones ehhh Ford cars 2012 and older everything after 2012 is questionable
Busy here where I live. But, the auctioneer will not take reserves that are unreasonable and he has decades of experience most likely more than five.

There should be no reserves at auctions if the highest bidder is 100 dollars then that's what the vehicle should go for that's what an auction is ridiculous

Gee, might have something to do with people running away from their mortgages, student loans outstanding, but then it might have something to do with value for money and the homeless who are moving to a sidewalk whenever they find enough space. Some people live in a world of their own. Are you wasting space on youtube to describe cars nobody wants to buy ?
