Ignore the naysayers. They are professional trolls that want to bring you down. You can learn some things from them but ignore them for the most part. Thanks for the winter camping vids, It's always a learning experience. I have camped all my life with family and friends but I learn from each new camping experience. We have a 5x9 Hiker, we love it, but we still have not tried the winter experience even though we have talked about and want to try it!. Keep them coming.
Thank you for the kind words, I agree that learning is just part of the territory. Those hikers are nice. I’m glad you guys are enjoying it. If you ever decide you wanna try winter camping let me know. I’d love to hear how it goes I will definitely keep journaling my adventures. Thanks for watching and commenting. It means a lot to me.
The snow is so beautiful. I had my CoolCamp in Yellowstone in mid October 2021 when it snowed 8 inches over an ice base. They closed all roads in the park so I had to stay in the campground. The fresh blanket of snow was mesmerizing. No electric hook ups there so I used my gas generator with lows in the teens and highs in the 20's. Yes, it is fun, especially for this Texan. I'm glad all is ok and you have more fun and safe trips.
Your trip sounds awesome, thank you for sharing a little bit of it. I hope to make it out west someday. Thank you for watching the video and commenting.
Thanks for the video. I love my Coolcamp. I’ll be going to the Homecoming rally next month in Florida. If you’ve never been to a Runaway rally I highly recommend it. You’ll learn a lot and meet some great people. I’ve been to 3 so far with my 4th set for next month.
I really enjoy hearing other people enjoying their cool camps as much as I do. The rally sounds fun I will definitely have to put that on the list of places to go and check out. Thanks you so much for watching and leaving such kind comments. I appreciate it.
The ceramic heater I was using in the video was just an old one I had around the house. I have since ordered a new one that pulls less watts. Ideally I wanted on that pulls no more then 500 watts and has a fan that can blow the warm air around. I went with a cheaper amazon basics, I will see how that works on my next adventure in a few weeks. Thanks for watching and commenting it means a lot to me.
Oh shoot I forgot to add that to the video. It was a family emergency that I had to get back to. Fortunately, all is ok now. Thank you watching and for asking , thats awesome.
Thank you for sharing your experiences in your Cool Camp. I'm considering one of these, but with my arthritis I'm not sure it would be good on the knees. I might go with the Rouser instead since I can actually stand up in that. I'm happy everything is okay with your family.
🚂 train sound is nice i could see why you would want to have the back door to open at times. sometimes a sandwich is good.. but on a cold day grilled cheese can hit the spot.. be safe out there. lots of extreme wild weather ahead 🙏💒
So true!! If I would have brought something to light that Coleman a grilled cheese with my chicken noodle soup would have been really nice. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to share your kind words.
I have plastic drawers in my Runaway with items I keep in there all the time, including a lighter. :) We always seem to forget something when we go on a trip, right?
So true. I also have baskets I keep stuff in but of course I used the lighter at home and forgot to put it back in. It wouldn’t be an adventure without forgetting a few necessities lol. Thanks for joining me on my trip and dropping a line.
I can’t speak to that because I’ve never pulled it with anything other than my Dodge Journey, nor have I ever gone to the Grand Canyon. However, the cool camp only weighs 570 pounds empty. It was made specifically to be a very easy tow. I have seen all sorts of four-cylinder vehicles, pulling them. Thank you for watching and commenting I appreciate it. Best of luck with your research.
I have never warmed anything but water in that thing, but that would have been a great experiment. I will definitely remember that one! Thanks for watching and for giving me that great idea.
Yeah that was my bad. It was a family emergency that I had to get back to. Fortunately, all is ok now. Thank you watching and commenting, it means a lot to me.
To each their own. I’ve had my Coolcamp for over 3 and a half years. Taken it to 5 states, 6 national parks, over 8000 feet to 230 feet below sea level. Towed it probably 25000-30000 miles. Try to camp in it once a month. It gets me off the ground, out of the weather and on a real 10 inch memory foam mattress. And can be towed by my small Kia. It’s perfect for one person minimalist camping. Next week I leave on my longest trip yet. San Diego to Key west and then back to Arizona. Camp how you like. There’s no right or wrong. Dumb is a strong word for something you know nothing about. You take care. And thanks for the video.
That is exactly why I got my runaway coolcamp. To be travel often and have a comfortable and safe(er) place to stay. As well as to be able to get to quiet, natural and amazing places. I just hope to be able to have put as many miles, in as many cool places as you have gone. I am in awe of all of your travels. Thank you for sharing.

Why did you have to leave?
Oh shoot I forgot to add that to the video. It was a family emergency that I had to get back to. Fortunately, all is ok now. Thank you watching and for asking , thats awesome.

Will a small chevrolet trax with 4 cylinder turbo do pulling this from Tennessee to the Grand Canyon !
I can’t speak to that because I’ve never pulled it with anything other than my Dodge Journey, nor have I ever gone to the Grand Canyon. However, the cool camp only weighs 570 pounds empty. I tow mine with a 2016 Kia Soul. Never had any problems.
You could of heated your soup in the tea kettle.
I have never warmed anything but water in that thing, but that would have been a great experiment. I will definitely remember that one! Thanks for watching and for giving me that great idea.
And you don't say why u had to leave.smh
Yeah that was my bad. It was a family emergency that I had to get back to. Fortunately, all is ok now. Thank you watching and commenting, it means a lot to me.
Sorry Sir,but I didn't understand your video
Im sorry to hear that, thanks for watching.
@RunawayCoolCampAdventures ALL good Sir:)
You don't seem very prepared for wanting to snow camp!
Unfortunately I did forget my lighter which meant no fire or soup, but other than that I had everything I needed. Thanks for watching.
I have seen a lot of dumb campers before but this thing is probably top 5
Thanks for watching.
You're absolutely correct
