Nice video. I have talking with Julius is the past. He recommended your company for parts and experience on these caddy engines. It was a pleasure to watch the video.

Ported heads $2350+, ported 2115 Intake $625+, small hyd roller cam & kit $1695 puts it at $4670 for just 3 parts. Theres got to be a way to hit just 450hp & 600tq for the cheap. Yes its probably 125-130hp more than stock but the TQ would only be about 100 more. Ive saved a 500 caddy an dear old friend of mine started but never completed. Ive added the kb pistons/comp 268h cam w/valve springs setup/2115 intake/1& 7/8" long tube headers. Surly i can get it close to 450/600. If not, ill blame the cam & try one of your small hyd grinds. just venting ~

Howdy ... I am building a 500 caddy for a direct drive airboat. I have a 1975 engine i just tore down to block. I have 120 cc heads as you know. My max propeller RPM is 3000. I want to spend the time and make this the best Direct drive engine i can. I am prepared to port and polish my 120cc heads and put larger valves in them.. I am looking for as much torque at 2500 to 3000rpm as possible. Would larger valves help me there?? And what upgrades would you recommend ? Thankyou in advance

Here's a question, which I'm curious if someone could answer. What would happen if you ran round dish pistons from the 1974-1976 500 in an earlier 76cc heads? I know obviously the compression would be absurdly high, but I'm curious how high it would be, and would it run with stock valves, or would the difference in valves create a problem with that piston?

I first had a 71 Coupe De Ville 472 in my 79 Cutlass. Great engine. Was low miles. Ran well on stock Q-jet on 93 gas. Later found a 68 472. Then a 70 Eldo 500. 10.5 -1. Sold car with that engine. If I can find another G body. Need to dig out the 68 472 from my brothers engine pile.

Do you guys give advice on builds over the phone? I have a 1969 472, I’m looking to build a low RPM torque monster. I’m very willing and able to put some money into it, and send them in for work to be done to it. Any info helps, thanks.

@@dirtcheapmedia3390 couldn't get my hands on one. Ended up selling it because I bought a house and I'm about to start a family. Got myself a PPV Tahoe from an auction, modded it a little bit and got my wife an Escalade. All is well.
