Another scenario, when I play this boss, I would use the override jammer and the line launcher takedown on freeze first. Why? Remember that freeze won’t fall for the same attack twice. I would go to a weak wall and place explosive gel on it. After that, I would rush to the other side of that wall and use the line launcher near the wall. Freeze will hear the sound of the line launcher being used and states that he won’t fall for it a second time. He will then come to the location where the line launcher was used so therefore he is coming to the wall. When he gets there to the wall, I will explode the gel. Jammer and line launcher can’t be used a second time for attack but they can be used to lure freeze to whatever trap I plant or have in store for him.
I worked my butt off to play this game in a separate file, complete the game, and play it again for new game plus where the difficulty will be higher so that way the freeze boss fight will be longer. Now on that new game plus file, I always am at the freeze boss fight and never finish the boss on purpose so I can play it multiple times for all I want. Best boss in the game, I love it!

Instead, if I want to find Freeze, I use the override jammer. I don’t activate it, I just bring it out so it targets freeze’s gun. Wherever the target is, I know where Freeze is.
