I truly can't believe The Munsters trailer is real. I almost think Rob Zombie is pranking us. There's no way a studio allowed him to film the movie the way the trailer shows it.
Rob Zombie's Munsters was only 9 million dollars. And that included meals for the cast and crew for all the days on set, the reconstruction of the house, construction of other sets, the cameras, purchased makeup and fabric for all the costumes, the electric bill, and other amenities.
Weekends are my usual time for listening/catching up on your shows! I was pleasantly surprised with Sunday's The Big Thing with Batemen, and would love more weekend content. :)
That conversation on the Munsters trailer needs to be animated! Comedy gold! Gutted we never saw Brett's legs. Any chance of getting Reilly in some day and bombarding him with Zoobilee Zoo.
Pizza recommendation; Maria's Italian Kitchen. Never had a bad slice, or any dish there. I still miss the old neighborhood spot called Napoli over in the Southbay area. It was family owned, and always crowded.
I’ve really enjoyed all the rewatches so far. It’s always a great discussion. Any chance of doing rewatches of random movies that are related in some way to the movie that’s released that week?
This show is amazing. The Munsters trailer is not amazing but it is honored for bringing us this great content. Kristian we need the segment talking about Munsters in animation please! 😭😂
This may be a dumb question, but what exactly are the rewatch videos? I originally thought the videos were meant to be watched alongside the movie, but the video time is different from the movie. Is the rewatch supposed to be watched after you rewatch the movie on your own? Love the Big Thing and all your reaction videos!!
I feel like Brett should be getting to watch some artsy films and review them for you and the audience afterwards. Might be hilarious. Kinda like he used to do during Phase whatever it was of Schmoes.
I mean, in Rob Zombie’s defense, this was designed to be a direct-to-video release from the get go. They honestly should just have a feature on the Blu-ray for this that gives people the option to view the whole movie in black and white, it would at least hide some of the more obvious visual and technical shortcomings this has. It doesn’t even feel like Universal’s marketing people put this trailer together but an intern of someone there was forced to do it and they didn’t have much experience with video editing. That being said, I’m not writing the whole thing off completely as this was just the trailer for it. Having seen some of the set photos Zombie posted on his IG and Twitter pages and the way he had been talking about the project prior to this had me already curious to see it.
I’m sorry but all of rob’s films have this cheap look. It’s part of his aesthetic, except this time it’s meant to be for kids. Doesn’t match up. The storytelling, the dialogue, the visuals. They all look cheap. 40 million and this is what we get? Not to mention everyone seems miscast in their roles. If he actual did some decent casting instead hiring his wife and friends every film, he might’ve had something good with this. I doubt his wife and the actor playing Herman even did a chemistry test. I’m not buying their “love” at all.
@@MrSurfer432 Devil's Rejects is by far his best movie. its shot really well and looks it. It also has a great documentary. At least it did on the DVD I bought back in around 2004 or 2005. I know there are dozens of TH-camrs doing Marvel news, but ppl are probably tuning in for your opinions, which would be different given Coy's comic book knowledge etc. The Big Thing with Roxy and Brett is a morning zoo type show. Joes in Santa Monica is fantastic, also a fan of Milana’s Brooklyn squares in Long Beach. As a big fan of prince street in soho I was SO disappointed by the location in LA they opened.
Yes Joes in SM is great, same taste as the one in BH! The Soho one rules, this one not so much.
@@TheKristianHarloff definitely looking forward to trying the two you mentioned on the show. If you ever find yourself in Long Beach craving prince street, try Milana’s- they do it better than the LA prince street.
It looked like a Nickelodeon tv show from 1995... The munsters..
Hahaha
Guarantee it was meant to be black and white but Universal felt like Gen Z can't handle a lack of color 😂
You might be right!
Maybe rewatches can be a Patreon thing moving forward? Understood that you can’t keep doing em though, gonna miss them!
I think we found a fix!
Someone's had a Krispy Cream before the show! Yeah that trailer was as Brett said "Garbage!" it had to be filmed on a smart phone it looked so shite!
Hahaha
12 min in, my face is hurting from laughing
Thank you!
The rewatches are some of the best content you guys do why tf are people not watching them 😩
Gonna keep them, limited but keeping them
Kristian: This is his love letter to the Munsters. Me: No, it's Rob's Dear John letter to the Munsters! LOL
HAhaha
Saw your poll. It works but you can’t do the monsters for multiple videos.
HuH?
That trailer made the Garbage Pail Kids movie look like The Godfather
