Imagine the sleep overs you will have!! To this day it warms me to think of how your 4 kiddos shared their bunk room upstairs-it’s a special time growing up with siblings-good times and annoying times but always memorable ones. These moments I’m sad my single child didn’t have but hope she will experience the joy with her own someday.
Your home is where your heart is! And I know yours is where your family is. One day it may well be back in there Victorian with your next generation enjoying all of this magical wonder once again.
When she retires she can rent or sell the one she's in town & move back to the Victorian maybe 😊

Lauren how I miss the gorgeous victorian. It had beautiful character that is not seen in new homes unless you have a large budget. It was always so beautifully decorated for every season. ❤

Okay Lauren, I don't decorate for Halloween, and I don't have a bar cart. However, I am making what I am naming "The Crow Bar" coffee bar. I've painted my sign with a crow and a cup of hot coffee. I have the white and wood stirrers from Hobby Lobby. I have a small dish with a black and white pumpkin on it for my spoon rest. I also thought about a real crow bar to hang my cups on.

My theme this year is ghost 👻. My kids are all grown, but I still love to decorate for each season.

Lauren thank you for posting this recap of Halloween decorating videos. I have been following you since 2020 so it brings me joy to see how you’ve evolved with your decor. Also I love your advice at the end of your video when you say that even if your house is empty, you should decorate for yourself. I just dropped my last child off at college and wasn’t feeling motivated to decorate my house. I’m a lot like you in that I go overboard decorating for all the holidays. This video gave me the motivation I needed to decorate for myself because I love it so much even if no one else is around to see it❤

I decorate with skeletons and spiders crawling all over my house. Big spiders crawling on the front porch, windows on the roof. Your seasonal decor always inspires me. I strive to be "that" house. Our neighbors love it.
I decorate with witchy things. My mantel becomes a hocus pocus apothecary. Love halloween!
I shudder every time I see people putting those bats up with the little sticky squares that come with them. We did that, fortunately right before we planned to repaint. Not one bat came off cleanly. We spent hours patching and sanding before painting. Now, if they don't stay put with museum putty or with Command velcro strips, we won't use them.
Love your decorating. Up until 3 years ago all our kids and grandkids came to my house for Halloween and would go trick or treating in the neighborhood where the kids grew up. Then we sold that house and moved into our family vacation home about an hour away. I miss the kiddos coming for Halloween. All 34 of them 😜

I am definitely a skull/skeleton ghoul, but also have a little bit of everything else. Here's what I think (opening a can of worms there): I love every theme you decorate with; I love that you decorate for every season/holiday, I love that you go all out for your family, I love that you are over the top (the only way to be) and as odd as this might be, your voice and videos calm and relax me.
You could always use your cart as a tea cart!!! Could be beautiful!!!

I also did bats outside and I 1000% agree with you the little sticky things that come with it was horrible to get off the side of my house. I had to use goo gone and even on my door it actually stripped the paint off my metal door!😖😖😖 but the effect was absolutely the coolest ‼️‼️‼️‼️🦇🦇🦇🦇🦇 I will try this year just using my hot glue gun like you did. Lauren, I did the skeleton table scape a few years ago from your video and it was my most favorite of all time! Every time we go camping, my kids laugh at me because I need to collect more sticks for my spooky table! Thank you so much for sharing your creative ideas!
Fun to look at all the old decorations! They are all so special. I love to decorate with a combo of pumpkins, acorns, mums, brooms and lights! I have a cople of ceramic pumpkind with removable lids which i got years ago and I put luminata candles in them. Our front porch is in total sun and, sadly, real pumpkins don't last more than a week or so becoming "mush."
Hi Lauren your Halloween decor is beautiful you are definitely making me rethink on decorating for Halloween even tho I don't have a soft spot for it and the area that u said is hoces pockes it definitely feels like a Harry potter movie which I love that movie. Miss your victorian! I started watching in 2021... your tablescape that year was 🔥! I loved that you used affordable stuff and styled it so creatively. (Foraging! Yes!) With everything being so expensive this year, I think a lot of us can relate to your past videos.
Love the decorations. You could make the bar into a coffee or tea bar. We aren't big drinkers either and I have a separate coffee and tea bar 😊

Girrrrlll Harry Potter!!! I'm just a few years younger so I was basically Harry's age when it came out but it's so magical and so believable!! The soundtrack, the movies are great but if you want the full effect, turn on an audible and decorate away. And then plan yourself a trip to Universal/IOA Florida (I know you're Cali but I don't think they've done the full HP like FL). Your kids would be a great age to enjoy Universal/IOA and the Harry Potter worlds are so so magical.

Lauren, years ago, I made a spider trail a la a Harry Potter. I used mounting puddy to keep the spiders up there all month! Maybe that would work for some here. 🕷🕷🕷🕷

I just seen a cute night light on Amazon. It's 2 ghosts roasting marshmallows on a flickering campfire. Ghosts 👻 are soo fun to use as decor. I remember when I was younger doing the kleenex tissue over a tootsie pop to make ghosts
With your bar cart, if you have a movie theatre room or area, what if you do a Halloween theme movie cart? Get Halloween snacks, drinks, napkins, paper plates, etc…
Probably a silly idea but wouldn’t hurt to throw that idea out. 😁💕

I still decorate for my 42 yo and 44 yo boys, lol. They grew up loving Halloween and we went all out for it. They helped me decorate and cook; it was just so much fun. After they left home I still brought out stuff they grew up with. The spookier the better. Now, the grands, 9, 6, 3 and 1 are who I decorate for and I've had to let go of the scarier stuff since they are easily spooked. They cover the hedges and plants out front in spider webs and spiders and the same on the oleanders surrounding our koi pond. We have a great time. The theme I have used forever in our home is crows. They are my fave of all time and the kitchen and living are mostly where they congregate. I just adore them. Great video Lauren. xoxTXDeb

I’m much older than you , you have to watch Harry Potter !!! It’s a beautiful movie , the scenery , backdrop all of it . I’m not a huge Harry Potter fan, but the great hall with the hanging candles and pumpkins… magical !!!!
