This sounds brilliant. Almost as good as Vanilla Ninja. It will depend on the songs. So far it's very promising. The world needs to hear the world's finest, most soulful female rock voice.
It's great to see your comeback Lena! I really like the Vanillas, but the "Moonland" sounds more influenced by pure Rock N Roll'! I really love rockin' "babes", so keep up the great work! Greetings from Czech republic!
Lenna is always the amazing singer and no problem her singing live. So good project, decent album, good music and sound, ok lyrics, poor videos, but fabulous singer. However not the best name for the album. Better just Moonland by Lenna Kuurmaa, or Lenna Kuurmaa - Moonland. I’ve seen some actually think Moonland was the name of this band. So poorly represented. Also this album was badly promoted with terrible advertisement, so unless you are a Lenna fan and heard by word of mouth then you wouldn’t know about it. That’s always been Lenna’s problem - bad promotion in the right places. One of the best female artist and most talented singer that few know about. If Lenna or Vanilla Ninja had been promoted in the UK she’d be the mega star. Lenna is singing in English so it would have been wise to also target the UK.
I sensed she felt a sentimental reminiscence about it, which we all do. That naturally makes us feel sad because it was such a great period of our lives. Just writing that gets me sad again! Now I think to the new project, and I'm happy. Life is like that, and I hope the Moon Land project brings as much happiness to Lenna as those Vanilla Ninja years did.
***** i was pretty damn sure that VN won't come back together as a band but I was never reading anything about parting ways forever. her saying this was basically a confirmation. it's just sad how VN ended as a band.
AlcanaSai Unfortunately not always it can end with an official announcement. Probably VN did not stop, only the work did, so it was just a case of drifting away to the point it's obvious the band is no more. That's at this moment, at least. Who knows. They might get approached in the future for new music.
