Boeing 747 - Aer Lingus Special Flight 1987

To celebrate International Children’s Day, 400 children from Ballymun are brought to Dublin Airport to take a special hour long Aer Lingus flight.

Man I once had a dream of being brought for a special flight onboard a Northwest airlines Boeing 747-400 around a beautiful lake and forest 😊

I really wish I could have had that experience as a kid but that would have required a 150 mile field trip to Seattle which was the nearest airport capable of accommodating 747s. I was very fortunate to fly on one with KLM from Chicago to Amsterdam back in 2013. Nowadays the only 747 options are with Lufthansa or Korean Air but I don’t think Lufthansa flies 747s out of Seattle anymore and I don’t know about Korean Air. As for Air Lingus, they retired their last 747 back in 1995.
