I swear I only recommended RPM from the content YOU created. What you posted made it look like a good place and to know what happened and you made it look different shows your abilities. Hats off to you man I wish you the best in your future. I subbed to your chat
Steve, I appreciate your transparency. I’ve been a long time watcher of the RPM channel. Shoot, it’s what made me finally get a C6Z and I even purchased their Stage 3 kit last year. I’m happy you’re out of that terrible situation and wish you nothing but the best moving forward! I’ve always admired your work, and looking forward to seeing more of it!!
Only those that have had a boss like that will understand what it is truly like and what it does to your psyche. Hold your head high and leave all that garbage behind.
Cordes Performance Racing could definitely use your talents. You put out QUALITY, that were entertaining because of YOUR back and forth with the guys. I’m sure a lot of us found out about RPM from the videos you made. Wish you the best of luck, you got the recipe down for great videos
I took my CTS-V there for a tune and it was pretty F*ed up. Had to take it back for corrections, and Fran was an asshole about it. I ended up going to Tune Time to get it done right. What a difference! The owner actually listened to me, and fixed all the mess-ups on my previous tune. New customer for life.
@@Bsaint This video actually legitimately pissed me off. I couldn't imagine dealing with that sort of nonsense in adulthood. and absolutely! I'm excited to be here for the ride with the rejuvenation of this channel. Looking forward to the new content! I feel like saying congratulations on moving past this experience, it should be a celebratory moment. cheers bud!
Now that I've watched this video I'm sad. I've watched every video you made for rpm. I actually don't recall ever seeing you get to eat & saw many times where other guys left for lunch. Never realized it til you made this video....
You did a great job of making him seem like the GREAT and Wonderful OZ, I gathered he was quite lazy and had no patience for dumb people “customers” in his words. I have no doubts with your talent you’ll land on your feet. Good luck and looking forward to your next resume video.
Steve, as one door closes many others open, great talent always rises to the top eventually. Even though it was a bad experience lets look at it on a positive note, and thats is that due to this job people got to know you more and your skillset. It is not all bad just another feather in your hat, I have also suscribed and really looking forward to the new content. Keep moving forward and never look back.
You were definitely an amazing employee. Loved the content you compiled weekly. I’ve already subscribed to your channel now and wish you the best of luck on this journey.
Definitely appreciated your film style for each of the builds. Not too dull or too hyper, good criticism, and indeed an enjoyable level of banter with the techs. Always noticed the amount of camera angle effort and attention to lighting. No idea if you wanted to find another automotive shop or move into some branch of car culture, but HPJ Performance in southern Illinois has just moved to a huge new shop, building a fresh website, and tried out a few youtube videos. They're big in the NMRA events and might be interested in a dedicated content creator. Either way, best of luck!
Hi Steve! I recently had some back and forth messages with Fran about a car. I now “Get It” why he should not answer the business phone or work the front desk. You made the right move getting out and Good Luck to you!
Subscribed. Much respect for standing up for yourself an getting out of that place. You do amazing work with editing an photos. You’ll do great outside of rpm. Keep the videos coming 👍🏻

I know there are two sides to every story, but I was an RPM sub for about 3 years, and roughly 8 months ago I unsubscribed. I hated any time Fran was on screen and talking. The "smartest guy in the room" attitude was very off-putting and I didn't care for the way he interacted with you and the others. When I first saw the title of the video, I thought you were kidding. Caught me off guard. You have witty way about you and that’s what made your videos so good. You had a lot of knowledge and a good memory. I liked when you made up characters and played them like it was another person - hilarious. It made the channel so much better, more watchable. I didn’t know you were working in an abusive environment. Good for you for taking the high road. You come off as mature and professional. You’ll be rewarded. I used to work in a busy gas station off an expressway in NY when I was a teen. It was owned and run by two hot tempered Sicilian fellas. Pumped gas and fixed cars. Talk about ribbing and thick skin. I learned a lot about people and how to read them. But I had a great time and remember it fondly. You have experience and you’re still young - lotta time to make a good life. Good luck - I’m gonna sub. 👍
Just remember when you work for a company you are disposable. The only way to truly be free is to work for yourself. You are talented and will do well. You also can be in front of the camera which not a lot of people can do.
amen to "your replaceable take your breaks and your vacations" . I learned this last year after the same mental beat down at 2 jobs in a row. now I work for a company that pays us for every holiday , rewards for hardwork and recognizes us as people not employees. glad your moving on.
Someone shared this on the corvette page on Facebook. I could tell he was a asshole by how he would talk to you on the dyno every time. I like your videos and edits. I just subscribed Thanks for the good content!
Federal law requires lunches and breaks. As a matter of fact, I think business's are required to post the labor laws placard next to a time clock or in a break room/area.
i loved the channel and flew home every wed,fri , to watch and decided to do my c6z build with them, 1 phone call to bill and he did not have time to talk, very short on phone and said he had no time to talk about a 20 grand build so send a email and well see, lmfao.... the more i watched the channel the more im glad bill did me a favor ,you and the techs are the only thing they had going for them . they do have a real friendly dyno anyway that gives nice scores lol , i also thought fran was the best but after a little research and talking with other tuners and the im jesus best ever attitude that most have i went to private tuning classes to learn myself , its not easy and takes time to learn but having hp tuners with you and knowing how to use it is priceless! im ride or die with ya steve ! i seen this coming, hope to see you at the absolute auction at RPM ...cant wait!
My dad put up with being treated like shit at his career most of his life to provide for his family. When we grew up and moved out he was finally able to leave and it’s been amazing to finally see him happy. This change is definitely for the better. Good luck.
Yup most people's response is "just leave" it's not that easy when you have a family to support and bills to pay. Sometimes you have to suck it up to do whats right... but sometimes it also gets to be too much.
I'm glad I saw this video prior to taking my vehicle to them. I'm big on treating others fairly. My fuse isn't a long one, so swinging on someone would've come pretty quickly. Hopefully, you'll find a much better setting going forward.
BossMan ... I'm just seeing this video after 2 years of you posting it. I'm sorry you had to endure the whole thing ... I could tell something wasn't quite right a few times. I own a 2017 Anniversary Edition Camaro and had planned to take my vehicle there BECAUSE they do a lot of GM V8 platform motors ...?? who knows better?? ... but now has me thinking differently. I look forward to seeing what you are now into. You are a great guy and will go far ...... until later my friend
Fran is a perfect example of a miserable person who is just not happy with life in general. His attitude and actions speak for themselves and can be transmitted even through a camera. Best of luck….👍
I agree with that. His attitude came across on camera that he doesn't care. I've heard of rpm but only became visually aware of them because of bsaint. No one deserves to be talked to like that. Any other industry that has an HR department...done. Businesses have zero tolerance for that. As an owner, you set the example. It's really sad. @bsaint have you looked into fasterproms, aka Jeremy Formato?
@@anthonymontoya6950 imagine how much faster his corvette would be if he dumped 120lbs. smh. I would always say how either arrogant or just unhappy Fran always seemed. Fran needs to get laid out. You can kick a dog before it does one of two things, run away or bite back, he needs to be bitten.
Started watching the channel after a friend of mine had his car done at RPM. Always enjoyed watching the video’s. I’m a Ford guy, but appreciate all manufacturers. I enjoyed the content and the funny intros. I think you did an excellent job! Sorry you had to go through all that. Looking forward to your videos on this channel. Good luck with your future endeavors. Hopefully they won’t be anything like those at PRM.
I just saw your video and I was a subscriber and I saw a video and noticed you weren't there. I just wanted to say stay classy brother you did a good job on the camera . Sometimes we have to rise above our situations and that you did, so congrats to you for leaving and moving on and doing you . Sometimes we forget our value and we need to focus on our on lives when we are not appreciated which you clearly weren't. So good luck on your new opportunities and I will be a subscriber!
Before watching this video any smart person and fan like me already had an idea how things work at RPM… slavery and been mistreated while someone gets rich is not acceptable!
I have always felt like the interactions between the tuner and the camera man were cringy at best. I never got the tuner’s sense of humor when talking to the camera man. The tuner seemed annoyed that the camera man was talking to him. Same thing almost every video for years
Glad you made the best choice for you and hope it didn't fuck with your mental health too much. Really sucks, because those intro were amazing, especially the one making fun of the cam going in with the sledge hammer.
I worked for the same type of company. Names not limited to racist comments and the true hostage type of relationship. You made the move that will save your attitude and quite possibly your life. Hang in there and know your talent is an incredible value. Also, props for your sick bmw!
separate home from work.. but do you B. glad you came out with this video. A lot of people need to hear that this happens in the work force..... I had a boss the same way for 2 years an finally he got fired but those 2 years were hell everyday all shift long
He always seemed so pompous and like a jerk and you could tell in the videos he didn’t treat you with any respect and he was never wrong. Good Luck with your future endeavors.

Went to their fb page to figure out why no videos had been posted lately to find this. Not a surprise with a lack of pay for weekend events. I'm sure that the video quality will suffer on their part. Good to hear you got away from that toxic mess, no wonder some of the mechanics had such a high turnover.
Sorry things were so crappy for you Steve. You did a fine job not only keeping them 'off camera' but did a fine job with the videos. No one should have to deal with what you did and no 'boss' should ever have a lack of respect or consideration for his employees. Best of luck in your newest endeavors and I just subscribed to YOUR channel now!

Lmao! If you guys watch Fran's response video in the comments, it's all positive and nothing negative. He filters out anything bad people say...hmmm seems he is worried about his past coming out to haunt him
Worked for a company since 2012, the same shit happened to me. Brought up there retail sales and there online presence and got nothing in return. Asked for a raise and got laughed at. Had a yelling argument with the owner and got fired cause 8 called him out on his lies. Best thing to ever happen to me. Be Positive Live Life

Ok, in the past dude. You are talented enough to be successful on your own terms.Good luck with the channel, I’ll be watching.
Thank you so much for the kind words.
Just remember when you work for a company you are disposable. The only way to truly be free is to work for yourself. You are talented and will do well. You also can be in front of the camera which not a lot of people can do.
I find that working for yourself is the furthest thing from Being Free.
amen to "your replaceable take your breaks and your vacations" . I learned this last year after the same mental beat down at 2 jobs in a row. now I work for a company that pays us for every holiday , rewards for hardwork and recognizes us as people not employees. glad your moving on.
Vengeance Racing is where its at!! Best shop in the country!
Proud of you for stepping up and doing what you believe in and doing what you have to do to move in that direction
Someone shared this on the corvette page on Facebook. I could tell he was a asshole by how he would talk to you on the dyno every time. I like your videos and edits. I just subscribed
Thanks for the good content!
Happy for you taking up for yourself & doing what you had to do. Dont feel sorry for putting yourself first. Best foot forward my dude.
Steve, check what your state's laws are about lunches. You might be able to get back-pay for working thru lunch. Stick it to him.
Federal law requires lunches and breaks. As a matter of fact, I think business's are required to post the labor laws placard next to a time clock or in a break room/area.
It’s a federal law because I’d get in trouble at work for not clocking out and still working.
i loved the channel and flew home every wed,fri , to watch and decided to do my c6z build with them, 1 phone call to bill and he did not have time to talk, very short on phone and said he had no time to talk about a 20 grand build so send a email and well see, lmfao.... the more i watched the channel the more im glad bill did me a favor ,you and the techs are the only thing they had going for them . they do have a real friendly dyno anyway that gives nice scores lol , i also thought fran was the best but after a little research and talking with other tuners and the im jesus best ever attitude that most have i went to private tuning classes to learn myself , its not easy and takes time to learn but having hp tuners with you and knowing how to use it is priceless! im ride or die with ya steve ! i seen this coming, hope to see you at the absolute auction at RPM ...cant wait!
Been there before buddy... I Subbed because of YOU!!!!
don't change your Awsome and a good man....
Agree his miserable his overweight unhappy
I picked up on that a while ago. I always wondered what that guy's problem was.
@Jaime Schatz dang write a book about it why dont chya
Started watching the channel after a friend of mine had his car done at RPM. Always enjoyed watching the video’s. I’m a Ford guy, but appreciate all manufacturers. I enjoyed the content and the funny intros. I think you did an excellent job! Sorry you had to go through all that. Looking forward to your videos on this channel. Good luck with your future endeavors. Hopefully they won’t be anything like those at PRM.
Dude you can tell Fran is a narcissist in the RPM videos even after all that stuff is "edited out" hahah
I worked for a boss like that in 1990 it was miserable… One door closes another opens brother you’ll be fine. I appreciate all you do
Steve, you seem like a good dude. Take the high road and move forward.
Good luck buddy!
This is sad to hear, I hope everything works out great for you!
Best of luck to you Steve! Your great content got me started watching the RPM Channel. I'm pretty sure you will do great at your next endeavor!
Thank you I appreciate that
Before watching this video any smart person and fan like me already had an idea how things work at RPM… slavery and been mistreated while someone gets rich is not acceptable!
Since I saw your videos and I enjoy watching, however I new the Big guy was a Huge Bully…
God Bless You and better days are coming!!!
I have always felt like the interactions between the tuner and the camera man were cringy at best. I never got the tuner’s sense of humor when talking to the camera man. The tuner seemed annoyed that the camera man was talking to him. Same thing almost every video for years
I’m pumped to see the content you come out with, sorry you had to go through that but on to bigger and better things.
I had a boss the same way for 2 years an finally he got fired but those 2 years were hell everyday all shift long
You are what made that channel. I'm subscribed to your channel and look forward to watching your content.
He always seemed so pompous and like a jerk and you could tell in the videos he didn’t treat you with any respect and he was never wrong. Good Luck with your future endeavors.
Good for you Steve! Your the reason their videos caught my eye and why I stayed. Just subbed to your channel now!
man thats shitty to hear i loved the whole crew well i will continue to follow both on your journeys and i hope the best to both
I hadn't watched Race Proven Motorsports for about 1.5 years until today...First video, I was like wtf isn't steve talking...went thou the video's 1 by 1 until I heard you're voice...than googled what happened and here I'am...Metal health is everything brother. Glad you got out..keep doing video's you're really good.
quit or fired doesn't matter. You've extended your life by leaving the stress and BS behind...
It might matter if he applies for unemployment benefits.
I deal with Josh at HPA because of an interaction back in 2018 with RPM. I'm a happy customer at HPA. Josh is a great guy.
Oh yeah there’s another ex RPM employee that started their own business too. Forgot about him, he was before my time there.
@@Bsaint Yep! I love the fact I can call Josh and bounce idea's off him. He has really good customer service and never treats you like you're an idiot
If a person could be like that out in the open you can only imagine what happens at home.
Good for you man! It's hard to leave things like that because you're so invested and love what you do but it's super important to have respect for people. On to better things man and if you do go full time on your own I wish you luck
Bad people aren't born, it's what they're taught to be. He should keep in mind he has a child now and is that who he wants her to be.
I always say… “be the man you want your kids to think of you as” … don’t lie, don’t cheat, and don’t steal! Life is good! Stay True!
By the looks of his belly I think he has many more kids on the way too sadly
Wow you are the reason I started watching the channel
I'm at LMP - (Late Model Performance) now check out our most recent videos!
@@Bsaint Shit I found you that same day
Went to their fb page to figure out why no videos had been posted lately to find this.
Anyone who watches the videos on the regular can tell the kind of person he is. Even with your great editing his real personally always showed through. No one blames you for leaving. Could tell he’s lazy worker who rolled in after 11am.
I subscribed to your channel. You're the main reason I subscribed to the other channel. I wish you great success in your future endeavors. Looking forward to more of your content.
Well said, you’re too cool to be spoken to like that!
Great decision to leave. By the way what's the outro song or instrumental closing the video?
You don’t deserve that. I think you did a great job. You know what you are talking about. Been watching the channel for years. Be glad your out of there. You will do better. Fran is going to hold himself back by his actions. Good luck
FULL BLAST! You can tell when someone has had enough. Yes you can do whatever you want when your the owner / boss. That includes all the labor and behind the scenes functions that make it all go around. You gained another subscriber and best of luck.
Good for you bro you quit no one should never put up with nobody BS they can't treat you with respect and respect you and respect your work that's their loss just don't take no b******* from nobody so keep your head up and don't worry about it it's in the past you have a good day bro
Okay so this makes sense why we were seeing more videos on your Channel. Sorry that you were going through things like this. Better things are definitely on there way for you! Looking forward to the next chapter.
Be Positive Live Life
Good for you! No one should ever have to put up with someone like that, you'll make it at whatever you do!
Good for you I was once in a similar situation at work and did the same thing left. Good luck to you and your family you’ve done a great job for that company and somebody else will gladly take you on!
