Almost as if you write a good character, you don’t have to fall back on the crutches of racial and gender identity. There are SOOO many example of this, Ripley from Aliens, Morgan Freeman in Shawshank, Samuel L Jackson in Avengers, the whole cast of Arcane.. so on and so forth. Speaking Marvel my favorite X-Men are Storm and Bishop. Gambit taking a very close third place, but that's not important. What is important is we have awesome characters with awesome powers that are fun. It was never about gender or race with them just good stories.
