This young girl has been through so much and God has blessed her with strength, compassion and a beautiful voice. Amazing performance!
Her father was a very popular singer among the Karen people in Myanmar. When civil war broke out, they escaped to Thailand but her Dad died as they escaped. Her mother then took asylum in South Korea. Her children adjusted well and are well-versed in Korean language. Her mother wasn't. Although she went to college in Myanmar, it was hard for her to find a job in Korea because of the language barrier and Ewha was her interpreter, she took care of her younger siblings. I knew them from the show, My Neighbor Charles and even then I could see her mother was sick. She needed surgery and they didn't have the money for it. And now she's gone.
Be strong Ewha. Take care of yourself and your two brothers. May God be with you always.
I'm also from Myanmar. I knew her but not quite well. I lost her mother too, during last year. I can't imagine losing both parents as such young age and on top of that in a foreign land. And now she'll have to take care of her brothers as she is the oldest, that's so much responsibility, and she's just a kid. I hope she becomes what she wants to be soon and leads a happy life! And I hope all the kids become well adjusted and gets support maybe something like that! I feel so sorry for them.
Actually he didn't die while escaping. He died later in Thailand as he was robbed for the equivalent of $10.
Her father was murdered by one of the relative because they know he got some money.
@@pawkheela34 The information I saw was that robbers thought he had a lot of money since he was a well known singer but they killed him when all he had was equivalent to $10.
